Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade [2018] Summary

The 2017 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade is most technologically advanced version of the motorcycle till date. A slew of mechanical and electronic upgrades have brought it on par with the new generation litre-class superbikes.

While the design philosophy is similar to the previous bike, the lines have been revised to improve airflow. It gets all-LED headlamps and an adaptive TFT instrument console, which automatically adjusts brightness according to ambient light. The 999cc inline-four engine develops 190bhp and 114Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed transmission with slipper clutch. The new frame and other weight saving measures have helped the new ‘Blade shed 15kg over the outgoing model.

The electronics package includes nine-level adjustable traction control, a Bosch ABS system, rear lift control and wheelie control, with the feedback coming from a five-axis IMU. There are three riding modes – Track, Winding and Street.

The CBR1000RR Fireblade is offered in two colours – red and black. It competes with other superbikes like the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R1000, BMW S1000RR, Yamaha YZF-R1 and the Aprilia RSV4.

Although it is japanese product but it feels very Indian maintaining odds. Most of 1000cc segment bikes are making way to India, since Indian roads are developing with night life. In India the price is really high but if we look into it as long term value in traffic & environmental causes. Affection has no price and it is worth giving both. I have tried it once and it has the best seating position for the rider like kawasaki & suzuki. Yamaha has its flagship just like men wear. Although european bikes are more expensive. Honda cbr 1000rr feels like the name suggests "city bike". Looks & performance has no end and it goes on from chains ring to even exhaust.Honda cbr1000rr needs twice a year servicing if you don't have the habit of pushing it on 2nd gear " don't get stuck there".My suggestion buy it only if you like to be more responsible and in alert mode. Or rather maintain your fortunes & gives the power to wait and watch.I like this bike because it has a ground clearance but at the same time because of e-bikes i'm still to understand hybrid.

The best bike money can get - fireblade

      Aditya

Coming from a duke 390 its just mind boggling. Owning a super-bike like this just makes you feel like you are riding a roller coaster. The power it generates is amazing. Although comparing it to the gsxr1000, zx10r, r1 it makes less power. About 189~bhp but the way it delivers the power is its best part. Just winkle the throttle and it flies, it's that powerful.

For owning it more than 1 year and riding it 4857 kms i haven't really known the full potential of the bike yet as most of the time the bike spends in traffic and i take on occasional weekend rides as well. About 50%50% you can say. Whenever i see an empty stretch i just pull my baby blade and it just takes off making me mad.

Even if i comedown to speeds like 60 i feel like i am as still 180-200kmph. That's how the bike makes me feel. Looks is upto personal choice but the only thing i didn't consider the gsxr is the front end. I love bikes with dual lights and the blade is just awesome to look at. Everyone knows how mumbai traffic is and my blade hardly stalls. Maintenance is on the higher side as with any other super-bike. Fairings cost you about 10-20k depends o how you damage it.

Talking about the pros and cons

      Lets discuss the cons first

      Cons-

      1. The bike gets heated very fast

      2. Mirrors could be better

      3. Seats could be softer

      4. A little bit bigger tank could make its way

As you saw above i am just net picking about the bike because the bike is just perfect in every manner

the con i listed earlier that the bike heats up fast but it doesn't stall. Now that's a pro to this bike

Talking about seats, the riding posture and the riding triangle isn't well balanced as with any super-bike

You don't need comfort when you ride such a bike

*if you have the money to buy a super-bike then the fireblade will be the best option for you*

(unless you are a kawasaki fanboy)

The bike sound is great and riding like a beast and a lion

And it is amazing. The one i hate it is it's power because the gsxr1000. Is 197bhp but honda got only 189bhp the bike should gain little power of boost but in the bike something. Is great to ride in classic. Rode the rpm is good at bike this is hrc high challenge. For racing
