I have been using cbr 150r since 8 years. Riding experience is very good. Maintenance cost is high. Spare parts cost much. Excellent braking system. City mileage is about 42kmpl. Stylish sports design. Not suitable for family. Perfect for youth. Price is high. Chain sprocket sound problem. No pass button. Excellent pick up.

Fun to ride , butter smooth engine and Reliable

I bought CBR 150R in 2013 now it's 2020, that's almost 7 years ago I bought it. It's Still running well. The service center is just pathetic. They will just literally destroy your bike the mechanics are some bunch of idiots . That's why I service it in some reputed local garages outside. The performance is awesome for 150cc category. It's under-powered in low end and decent in mid-range and it's just a beast in top end there is not much pull from the engine below 5,000 rpm after 5k rpm the bike pulls really well and when it reaches 7k rpm it literally becomes a beast. It can easily reach 140 kmph and it's top speed is around 150kmph , if you use Premium engine oil. But if you use mineral oil don't expect much performance and mileage . The bike vibrates at the speed of 80 to 85 kmph and lags power if you use cheap mineral engine oil. I used motul 7100 and 300 V2 with Loqui moly oil additive and then the bike became butter smooth . I cruise at the speed of 100 to 110 without any vibrations. And mileage is around 38 to 40 kmpl in city and 45 to 48 in highway if you cruise at 75 to 80 kmph ( with premium engine oil). It's chain needs lube more early at around 250 kms if you don't lube its chain you won't get much performance.

Life is ride

Bought this companion in 2012. A very first buyer of first 100 bikes lot. In last 7+ years, completed 1lacs+ kms. I know this is been discontinued but my emotional attachment to this bike forcing me write a review. Reliability: one thing which blindly you can trust on this bike (or honda) is reliability. In these 7 years and 1 lac+ kms, i never ever faced any breakdown (except one small battery issue that's too because of service center error). I have used it on extensive long ride, in scorching heat in gujarat, continuous rains of western ghat, freezing temperature in night rides, jungle and broken roads in west coast. Bike never disappointed me in terms of reliability, Looks: it is subjective to individual. Personally, in my opinion honda has not done good job in this area. When i bought in 2012, only 4 colors were available and all of them were equally disappointing. I chose candy green which was relatively better.Comfort: very comfortable for daily commute and long rides. Even after 7 years, i never faced any back pain or wrist pain issue. Surprisingly equally comfortable for pillion as well. This pillion feedback is from person who actually completed thousands of long ride with me. Bonus is grab rails for pillion which can be used for luggage cord also.Mileage: fuel efficiency is good. I get 36 kmpl in city and 42 kmpl on highway. There are occasions where i touched 44 kmpl as well. This also depends upon how punctual you are for service. I have never ever missed even a single service. All of them done on time.Build quality: when it comes to engine, i don't think any other bike or manufacturer can beat honda engine. Even after 1 lacs kms, i never changed clutch plates or any other part which involves opening of engine casing. Rock solid engine. However build quality of fairing and other plastic part is inconsistent. Fitting is uneven leaving space in between plastic parts and sometimes annoying vibrations. Service: this is very inconsistent area. I got my bike serviced 4 different service center in 7 years (3 in mumbai and 1 in bangalore). All the service centers in mumbai are just pathetic with no knowledge at all (specially jhaveri honda in parel, instead of mechanic filled with jokers). I moved to bangalore when odometer reading was 50k and from there onward getting it serviced from ananda honda which is brilliant. Honda need to standardize and improve it. Parts availability is never a concern in bangalore but in mumbai it was a big problem.Cons: 150cc engine is just enough. With pillion and luggage, it runs out of breath on ghat sections. Little more power could have made big difference.

she's born in a 2nd February 2017 , Reached 40,000km above, don't buy a CBR and use it for long, it will make you stuck from upgrading others bikes...And blends with emotions by doing everything that we dream to do... So #once_you_are_in_there_is_no_going_back...taste the first blood above 40km/L mileage average speed 110_120, top end 169generally maintenance very costly .
