Honda CBR250R was launched in India to cater to growing demand in the entry-level performance segment. It is one of the most affordable 250cc motorcycles in India and is applauded for comfortable riding position that would suit most conditions from city traffics to touring.
The fully-faired Honda CBR 250R gets an integrated sporty cowl that adds some style and enhances its aerodynamic design. It is inspired from its big daddy, the VFR 1200 and looks very neat and impressive. The Honda CBR 250R is powered by a 249cc single cylinder liquid cooled fuel injected engine that churns out 26bhp at 8500rpm and 22.9Nm at 7000rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with 1 down and 5 up as its gear shift pattern. The motorcycle gets telescopic at the front and 5-step-adjustable mono shock absorber at the rear which makes the rides very comfortable.
The CBR 250R is sold in two variants in India – non-ABS and ABS. Both the variants get 296mm disc in the front and 220mm disc at the rear. It gets 13 litres fuel tank capacity which is quite decent for a 250cc motorcycle and has a kerb weight of 167 kg. The motorcycle is sold in five variants in India, including recently introduced REPSOL edition.
Honda CBR-250R is available in the following colours in India.

Best bike in 250 segments pure machine no electric intervention it's a Raw bike that's what I love the most. I bought it as a second-hand bike it's now 13 years old and still a head-turner Service and maintenance are regular some as other brands some parts are costly but that's worth in the long runsThere are no cons in my opinion. If you're planning to buy second-hand CBR . Buy one with Abs.

Best superbike at reasonable price

The best bike I have ever had. Riding this bike on a highway is the best experience one can have. Though I have faced minor issues in maintenance, overall this bike is worth the price, even though it's a little costlier than competitors. The best thing about the bike is its engine. The bike is also bs4 compliant, so I also feel environmentally more responsible.

Its rare to get but managed to get a used bike with only 13k kms covered. Riding experience is superb and especially backside comfort is excellent. Look wise the bike is so attractive but when come to riding it is heaven. The power delivery is linear but on need it is seldom available after a 5k rpm range. It is a gem that honda ever made, but still confused why they called it back.

Default tyres are not prescribed as per friends experience I would suggest Michelin pilot. Clean and lube chains every 500 kms for chain life.

Legend with power

Never troubles me while touring, sweet engine with decent power, 11years old but still looks fresh and clean, compared to other 250cc. The cruising speed is way good, better on highway handling, if you are planning to buy the bike second hand buy the one with abs.Cons: availability of spares, very low bottom end power, compared to other bikes very low accessories available.

Got rich in ride but fell poorer in maintenance.
Kumar Anurag
Since govt imposed bs-iv, i bought this dream bike almost brand new on September 2019 second hand. It was sporty & awesome to ride on highways. But its yakk in towns as engines gets hotter during rush. Servicing & maintenance was not satisfactory as i had to waited for days to get cbr expert mechanics who were either on leave or were not available at service centre most of the time. Fuel efficiency poorer than as mentioned in reviews at online.

Not a good bike
Alok
I just bought a new cbr 250r (abs) ka-05-jy-1372, here is my review.
This huge piece of metal has way more torque than it requires in the lower rev range. First of all it does not carry payload, secondly; it is just enough for my little wife to be seated in the pillion seat, why the hell does it require so much torque is something i dont understand. In 1st gear, the engine roars and speed is hardly anything.
After that... You change it to the 2nd gear and rev it equeally hard as the 1st (say, around 4000 rpm), the speed is just above what it was when it was in the 1st... Overlapping speed ranges.. Another big waste of precious power.
Finally, by the time you come to 4th.... The speed attained is just as much as my scooty zest 110 (ka-02-jh-1814)..!! :-( The real speed comes only when you reach a minimum 50 kmph in 4th gear (which is pretty high in rev range)... It just not the characteristic of a 'sports' bike. A sports bike of this kind should be longing for speed and keep up the initial torque until it gets the kick...... But what i majorly observe in this bike is a whole lot of grunt from the engine and huge waste of torque which struggles to get converted to speed easily.
Also, per user's manual ..... Abs light goes on and off and appears to be in on mode when driving at 10 kmph or less. But here it glows all the time. Took it to the mechanic and he said there was some sensor issue and said it was resolved. But, now even at 65 kmph, abs light glows..... Really dont know where to take it to.
Also, high beam focus is near (shallow) and there is no beam pitch selector knob.
Lastly, the engine idling itself is pretty high. I expected the bike to start moving in 1st gear without raising the throtle assuming that idle engine running will take care of the initial motion. Here... It is not the case... In 1st gear at idle engine running, when clutch is released 60%, the engine vibrates slightly (which is the way it is supposed to be) but after further clutch release, the engine goes off....... Idle engine engagement is not converted to motion..... And slight difference in throtle position and clutch engage will lead to over grunt or engine flame out. This is really stupid in this kind of bike. Where-as i heard that in r15, this problem does not occur.
My advice, unless you are a honda freak, no point going for this bike. Others may have a different opinion.... But just shared my thoughts.
Plastic quaity, fit & finish very poor.
Gap between fuel rank lid and tank - water seeps into the tap and leave the engine caughing many times during rainy condisions.
Unergonomically positioned seat cover opener. Mirrors are not that good too.
Pros
styling and braking
cons
too much torque, low speed, poor fuel economy, bad drive train
