A reliable Honda engine which has completed over 1.2 lakh kms & still offers a decent mileage of 55.Shocks could've been better, and so do the headlight & mirror positions. The engine is still smooth & refined. The tyres are bad, so I changed both of the tyres to thicker ones. The road grip is better with a replaced tyre. The original was a tad bigger than my bicycle tyres. Disappointed here!Overall, a great ride for the money I spent 13 years ago

Honda Twister - A Decade of Reliability and Performance
12 weeks ago
Bala Nagesh
I've been riding my Honda Twister since 2010 for my daily commute to the office (approx 60-65 km daily), and I can confidently say that it has been one of the best investments I've made. Over the years, this bike has proven itself to be a reliable, fuel-efficient, and road-friendly companion. For over the initial 5 years, this bike gave me mileage in the range of 60-70 kmpl, and even in the past 2-3 years, it has given me a consistent 40-50 kmpl which is truly incredible at this point. In terms of maintenance, the Honda Twister has been hassle-free. Regular servicing is straightforward and affordable, and the bike has never had any major issues. It’s a testament to Honda’s build quality and reliability. It's unfortunate to be discontinued, but if anyone gets a good-condition 2nd hand bike I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Tips for other riders
Maintaining a bike for optimal performance, especially on Indian city roads, requires regular care and attention. Here are some tips that come to my mind, 1. Regular Engine Oil Check and Change: Check the oil level every 1,000 km and change it every 3,000-4,000 km. 2. Air Filter Maintenance: Clean the air filter every 3,000-5,000 km or more frequently if riding in dusty conditions. Replace it if necessary. 3. Tyre Pressure and Condition: Check tyre pressure weekly and inspect the condition of the tyres regularly. 4. Brake Inspection: Inspect brake pads and discs every 2,000-3,000 km. 5. Chain Lubrication and Adjustment: Lubricate the chain every 500 km or after riding in the rain. Check for proper tension regularly. 6. Clutch and Gear Maintenance: Adjust the clutch lever for proper play every 1,000 km. Inspect the gear shifts for smoothness. 7. Battery Care: Check the battery terminals for corrosion and ensure proper charge levels every month. 8. Suspension Inspection: Inspect the suspension for leaks and proper damping every 5,000 km. 9. Fuel Quality: Use good quality fuel from reputable petrol stations to avoid engine knocking and ensure smooth performance. 10. Riding Style: Avoid aggressive acceleration and sudden braking. Ride at a consistent speed.

I've owned this bike for the past 13 years. I have only periodically changed the engine oil, and it still runs as well as it did on the first day. It's a great commuter bike, has deficient maintenance, is agile, and has good ergonomics. If you're considering it as your first bike, you'll be pleased with it. The engine is so refined that it never gets boring. Despite owning a ZX6R now, I still ride this bike often. The only downside is that the suspension can get stiffer over time. Overall, this bike was ahead of its time.

All is good about the bike. Company has given a lot of features as compared with other bikes of same segment. Either look wise or performance wise this bike is really good. However company should increase the thickness of rear tyre and should bring back this bike production on it's way to bharat stage six version.

I am using this bike since 2011. Light weight, good performance, easy to ride in city traffic, attractive styling, and powered by the reliable Honda engine. I took this bike with me to Vizag, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. It never gave me a reason to exchange. Very smooth and reliable bike. The average mileage of over 60Kmpl.

Amazing and beautiful bike.Thorouly enjoyed the journey with twister from last 7 years. Never bothered me low maintenance. I don't know why Honda discontinued the manufacturing this product in spite of positive response. I request the concerned to re-start the production of this bike as early as possible

I bought this bike second hand and I think this bike is awesome because it's style made me impressed and then I got mileage of 56-58 km/l which is good in 110 cc segment. i really love this. But it has only one problem, the spares not available now and it will become more costlier. The only one thing is bad I think bad other wise the bike is awesome.

All is good about the bike. Company has given a lot of features as compared with other bikes of same segment. Either look wise or performance wise this bike is really good. However company should increase the thickness of rear tyre and should bring back this bike production on it's way to bharat stage six version.
