The BS6-compliant Honda Gold Wing Tour BS6 has arrived in the Indian market in two variants. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer will offer the luxury tourer with two gearbox options – manual and Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
The BS6-compliant 1,833cc, flat-six, liquid-cooled engine on the 2021 Honda Gold Wing Tour is tuned to deliver 124.7bhp at 5,500rpm and 170Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. The motorcycle is available with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT gearbox. The manual gearbox features an assist and a slipper clutch.
The motorcycle uses double wishbone at the front and a pro link system at the back to perform the suspension tasks. The anchoring setup includes twin 320mm discs with six-piston callipers at the front and a single 316mm rotor with a three-piston calliper at the rear.
In terms of styling, the latest iteration of the motorcycle retains a luxury tourer design. The styling cues comprise a twin-pod headlight, a semi-fairing design, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors with integrated turn indicators, a 21.1-litre fuel tank, a step-up seat with new suede/synthetic leather cover, pillion backrest, hard panniers, and a top box. The total storage capacity on the motorcycle stands at 121-litre. The manual transmission variant is available in Pearl Glare White colour while the DCT model features a Gunmetal Black Metallic with Matte Morion Black paint.
The comprehensive feature list includes full-LED lighting, an electronically-adjustable screen, an upgraded audio and speaker system, two USB Type-C ports, a seven-inch TFT-screen, gyrocompass navigation, passenger audio control, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, tyre pressure monitoring, and Smart Key operation. The electronic rider aids on the motorcycle comprise four riding modes (Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain), cruise control, Hill Start Assist, ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control, Dual Combined Brake System, and Idling Stop (only in DCT variant).

The ultra-smooth ride of the adjustable suspension swings the pendulum back in favor of the Gold Wing. We noted in our previous test that you can see the wishbone suspension moving, and you can see just how well it is soaking up rough roads. You can change the preload to one or two riders and with or without luggage. Lori and I were both impressed with the smooth ride and riding two-up or solo, I found the bike to be very predictable in all riding conditions, and it is surprisingly sporty for an 800-plus pound bike.
