I recently had the opportunity to own and ride the Honda CB 350, and here's my comprehensive review based on various aspects of this motorcycle.
1. **Buying Experience (4/5):**
The purchasing process was relatively smooth. The dealership staff was knowledgeable and helpful. However, I did feel that they could have been more transparent about the bike's performance characteristics, especially its speed limitations.
2. **Riding Experience (3/5):**
The riding experience on the Honda CB 350 is a mixed bag. On the positive side, it's a head-turner with its striking design and high-quality materials used in its construction. The bike feels solid and well-crafted, which is a big plus. However, the engine's performance falls short in terms of speed. It's incredibly smooth and refined, making city commuting a breeze, but it lacks the punch required for exhilarating highway rides.
3. **Details about Looks and Performance (4/5):**
In terms of aesthetics, the Honda CB 350 is a true winner. Its sleek, modern design and attention to detail make it a standout on the road. The high-quality materials used are evident in every aspect of the bike's build, from the frame to the finish. Unfortunately, the engine, while silky-smooth, lacks the necessary power for those who crave speed. It's more suited for those looking for a stylish, city-centric ride.
4. **Servicing and Maintenance (5/5):**
One area where the Honda CB 350 excels is in servicing and maintenance. Honda's extensive network of service centers ensures convenience, and the maintenance costs are reasonable. The build quality also translates into durability, meaning fewer trips to the mechanic overall.
5. **Pros and Cons:**
**Pros:**
- Outstanding design with high-quality materials.
- Smooth and refined engine, perfect for city commuting.
- Reasonable servicing and maintenance costs.
- Solid build quality for long-term durability.
**Cons:**
- Lacks speed and power for highway rides.
- Could benefit from more transparency in sales regarding performance expectations.
In conclusion, the Honda CB 350 is a bike that impresses with its stunning design, quality materials, and smooth engine. It's a great choice for city riders who prioritize style and comfort over raw speed. However, if you're seeking a high-performance machine for highway adventures, you might find it lacking. With some improvements in the speed department and more upfront sales information, it could easily earn a perfect 5/5 rating.

Tips for Honda Hness CB350

1. Change oil and filter regularly. 2. Keep the chain lubricated and tensioned. 3. Check tire pressure and tread often. 4. Inspect brakes and maintain brake fluid. 5. Monitor coolant levels (if water-cooled). 6. Clean or replace the air filter. 7. Maintain a clean battery and test charge. 8. Inspect suspension for leaks or damage. 9. Ensure proper electrical component function. 10. Follow fuel system maintenance guidelines. 11. Check exhaust system for leaks and rust. 12. Tighten nuts and bolts regularly. 13. Refer to the owner's manual for specifics. 14. Adjust maintenance based on riding conditions.

  • Smooth buttery clutch action, but could have had more power

    Vishal V

H'ness is a good motorcycle for starters. Its weight management and smooth clutch action are lovely and a big confidence booster for anyone who is transitioning to a heavier 350 cc machine. Honda has done well in weight management and it feels weightless when riding, which makes handling, turning, and navigating bad roads easier. The best part is the smooth and light clutch action which sets it apart from all 350 cc bikes in its class. The seat height is also very manageable and gives a lot of confidence while off-roading and on steep slopes. The engine is refined and smooth and does not have a lot of noise and vibrations. The exhaust note is a demure purr and not a loud blast, which helps with efficiency. Heat management is also well done, so you don't feel cooked even in the hardest of summers. Braking power combined with ABS and TC is certainly very confidence-inspiring. Honda is a reliable machine. I have mostly used this bike on solo long trips and have never been anxious about the bike and its performance. It is certainly an eye-catcher on the road.
Honda's service is good and covers most large Indian cities.
The challenge with this bike is the power curve. It won't go beyond 110kmph on the 5th unless pushed hard. So you do miss power there.
The headlight is not very bright, so you need aux lights, especially if you ride it at night.
The mileage tends to drop if you cruise above 100 on the highways. That's it.

Everything about the bike is just perfect. This is my first bike and I will never have any regrets about it. I recommend this bike to everyone who has the budget around it, and I've offered test rides of my bike to prove myself right. Comfort on the other hand is debatable, me being 6'3 the shoulders, and back start hurting after a couple of hours. PS - Every time I'm walking to my bike I just see it and start smiling cheek to cheek. Balanced, comfort has room for improvement

I bought this bike last year and still, it is given good performance & comfortable for a long ride.
And the mileage part is also good. The sound of the bike is very. After the 1 year still, it is running like when I used it the first time. Not need to go to the service centre again and again if you are finding any issues then visit the service centre.

  • A classic bike with touch of modern bits.

    Mani Varshith

I bought a bike in June 2023 and it's been more than 1.5 years initially I was having trouble with the long gearing so frequent shifts in the city but later I got used to it. Delivery of the bike is okay with the showroom. Servicing is a little bit complex, parts are not available for about a month easily, and takes time and is costly compared to all others. The battery on the bike is very weak and always be around 12 to 13v. Milleage is around 35-36 city and highway mix.
Overall comfort of the bike is good but needs an extender to the handle which adds more comfort to the bike.
The styling of the bike is unique but there is a design fault where in rainy season from the back mudguard water comes onto the seat and the whole bike becomes dirty. It's not powerful in segment but does the job.

Honda means trust, a very smooth and reliable engine, light clutch, comfortable riding position, and roaring and thumping exhaust sound, one problem is headlight visibility is less but it is okay for city and village roads but on highways you need to install auxiliary headlights for better visibility. Compared to RE it is a better bike with, a lightweight, smooth engine, slipper and assist clutch, better exhaust sound, more torque, and suspension quality, the front suspension is a little bit stiff but okay, rear suspension is better.

While I traveling near Kuloor suddenly I got a pothole filled with water so I lost control of my vehicle and caused damage to the mag wheel
The service manager said it was not the manufacturer's fault

This bike has the best combo of performance, looks, refinement, quality, and millage. The performance is very good and I think no other 350cc bike gives mileage of about 40, you can easily get mileage up to 45 on highways. The quality and refinement are the best in the segment. I would prefer to go for a Honda Hiness or 350rs instead of re Classic or Jawa.

  • It's a practical, feature-loaded, modern retro legend.

    Monish Chandran

It all started with my first test ride. I initially had no intention of buying this bike. All I wanted to do was check it out before making a decision. After the test ride, I became a bit obsessed with the bike—whether it was the exhaust note, seating stance, mirror positioning, engine behavior, buttery-smooth clutch, or the abundance of features. There wasn't a single reason to reject this masterpiece.
The only thing some might consider is the price—it could have been 10k less than what’s listed on paper. But still, many would be willing to pay that for the Honda name. The weight distribution was excellent, with no engine vibrations, and I found it easy to ride in traffic. The fuel economy is worth mentioning: I get 25 km/l in heavy traffic and over 40 km/l on highways, which works for me.
I've completed my first service, and the experience was premium, just as expected. I also rode the RE Hunter and Classic, but I can confidently say that in every aspect, the H'ness is the king.
To sum it up in one statement: "It's a practical, feature-loaded, modern retro legend." I'm hopeful it will continue to perform well in the future.
