The Honda NX500 is an adventure touring bike and is priced at Rs. 5.90 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The bike is available in one variant and three colours.
The Honda NX500 is powered by a 471cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp at 8,600rpm and 43Nm at 6,500rpm. It gets a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
The styling of the bike is inspired by Honda’s rally bikes, evident in the large yet flat bodywork, tall windscreen, and the stance of the bike. The riding position is upright, meant to cover longer distances.
Under the bodywork, there is a diamond-type frame, suspended by a 41mm, USD fork and a five-step adjustable monoshock. The bike rides on a 19-inch front, 17-inch rear alloy wheel combination, shod with block-pattern tyres. Braking duties are taken care of by 296mm twin discs at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.
In terms of features, the bike gets all-LED lights, switchable traction control, and a five-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
The Honda NX500 is available in three colour options- Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black, and Metallic and Pearl Horizon White.
The Benelli TRK 502 is the only direct rival to the Honda NX500.

It's been 650 kms on the bike, it's powerful, friendly and feels like you are always in control. It doesn't feel heavy at all. Very nimble and linear power delivery. Never at any point between 1st to 6th gear do I feel that bike is running ahead of me and I have to catch up. So those who want Duke 390-type power delivery, I suggest taking a test ride. On highways, its mileage is around 33kmpl and in the city it's 27, kid you not :). I've ridden it in the city thoroughly, and it doesn't heat up. Kudos to Honda.
