  • "Honda CB Shine: The Perfect Blend of Style, Comfort, and Efficiency"

    Saurao Wanjari

    Buying Experience:
The process of purchasing the Honda CB Shine was smooth and hassle-free. The dealership provided excellent customer service, with knowledgeable staff who walked me through the bike’s features and financing options. The delivery was prompt, and the bike was handed over after a thorough inspection and a brief orientation on its features.
    Riding Experience:
Riding the Honda CB Shine has been a pleasure. The bike’s 124cc engine offers a smooth and responsive performance, making city commutes effortless. The suspension setup absorbs bumps and road imperfections well, ensuring a comfortable ride even on uneven surfaces. The bike handles corners with ease and provides a stable ride at city speeds.
    Looks and Performance:
The Honda CB Shine has a classic yet modern design. Its sleek body lines, chrome accents, and attractive color options give it a stylish appearance. The bike’s performance is commendable, with the engine delivering a good balance of power and efficiency. Acceleration is brisk, and the bike remains stable and vibration-free at cruising speeds. However, for those who frequently travel on highways, the performance might feel a bit limited.
    Servicing and Maintenance:
Maintaining the Honda CB Shine is straightforward and cost-effective. The bike’s design simplifies routine maintenance tasks, and Honda’s extensive service network ensures that spare parts and servicing are readily available. The bike requires minimal attention, with regular oil changes and periodic checks being sufficient to keep it in good condition.
    Pros and Cons:
    Pros:
    1. Fuel Efficiency: Exceptional mileage, averaging around 60-65 km/l.
    2. Comfortable Ride: Ergonomic design and effective suspension make for a smooth and comfortable ride.
    3. Build Quality: Sturdy construction and high-quality materials ensure durability.
    4. Low Maintenance Costs: Simple design and readily available spare parts contribute to low upkeep costs.
    Cons:
    1. Braking Performance: Standard drum brakes could be improved; the optional disc brakes are a better choice for enhanced stopping power.
    2. Lack of Advanced Features: The bike lacks modern features like a digital instrument cluster and LED lighting.
    3. Highway Performance: The engine may feel underpowered for long highway rides, with a top speed that may not satisfy more aggressive riders.
    Conclusion:
The Honda CB Shine stands out as a reliable, fuel-efficient, and comfortable commuter bike. While it may lack some advanced features and has room for improvement in braking and high-speed performance, it remains a strong choice for daily commuting and offers great value for its price.

    Tips for other riders

    1. Regular Oil Changes: I change the engine oil every 2000-2500 kilometers to keep the engine running smoothly and extend its life. High-quality oil makes a big difference. 2. Chain Maintenance: Every 500 kilometers, I clean and lubricate the chain. Keeping the chain well-lubricated reduces wear and ensures a smoother ride. 3. Air Filter Cleaning: Cleaning the air filter every 1500 kilometers is crucial. If it gets too clogged, replacing it improves engine efficiency and performance. 4. Tire Pressure: I check the tire pressure regularly and keep it at the recommended levels. Proper tire pressure enhances fuel efficiency and ensures better handling and safety. 5. Brake Maintenance: Regularly inspecting the brake pads and brake fluid levels is essential. Replacing worn-out brake pads and ensuring the brakes work properly keeps me safe on the road. 6. Battery Care: I check the battery terminals for any corrosion and make sure they are securely connected. Topping up the battery with distilled water and replacing it every 2-3 years helps maintain consistent performance. 7. Spark Plug Inspection: Inspecting the spark plug every 5000 kilometers and cleaning or replacing it if necessary ensures better combustion and engine performance. 8. Cooling System: Keeping the cooling fins on the engine clean and unobstructed helps with proper heat dissipation, especially during long rides or hot weather. 9. Scheduled Servicing: I stick to the servicing schedule recommended by Honda. Regular check-ups by professionals can prevent minor issues from becoming major problems. 10. Smooth Riding: I avoid aggressive riding and sudden acceleration or braking. Riding smoothly reduces wear and tear on the bike’s components and improves fuel efficiency. Following these maintenance tips has kept my Honda CB Shine in excellent condition, ensuring a reliable and enjoyable riding experience.

It looks like a Unicorn, the best-looking appearance while riding on this bike. Engine beat mesmerizes the race bike sound. Very comfortable in local and long drive also. Best pickup in this 125CC range. Good mileage. One remark is Low Head Light compared with other brands. Overall, it's good good-looking, best-friendly bike.

cb shine - prefer other model than shine .very high vibration on Handlebar while reaching speed at 60 and above more. rear suspension is very hard - not absorbing jerk while without rear pillion passenger. tyres are with small width and sliding on slippery road . bike parked in direct sunlight - engine system tries to boost while weather is in hot condition - its going to partial off condition and it again starts automatically while initial running.
ergonomically buttons and switches are good and mileage is good and headlamp light projection on night ride is good.
For some of these issues - next time i will prefer Hero glamour.

Buying experience was good, as purchase in cash. Then come riding, I am a comfort loving rider. But this bike cb-shine (2015) never full fill my expectations. It starts vibrating from 30 km/h. Next in 2 years your millage will go down from 65 to 55. Then it's chain get always loosen. I have changed it's chain socket 2 times in 5 year. In service I spent double the bike actually cost. Suspension was started making sounds from 3rd year. But good things about it is, it engine is power full, look is gentle , riding poster is also good, lights are descent .

Following these maintenance tips has kept my Honda CB Shine in excellent condition, ensuring a reliable and enjoyable riding experience.

cb shine - prefer other model than shine .very high vibration on Handlebar while reaching speed at 60 and above more. rear suspension is very hard - not absorbing jerk while without rear pillion passenger. tyres are with small width and sliding on slippery road . bike parked in direct sunlight - engine system tries to boost while weather is in hot condition - its going to partial off condition and it again starts automatically while initial running.
ergonomically buttons and switches are good and mileage is good and headlamp light projection on night ride is good.
