Buying experience was great, staff members were very kind. Riding my bike is just like trusting on someone blindly. It has shiny navy blue body with yellow strips. Sound is so relaxing. It required less servicing and maintenance. It was my birthday gift and i totally got attached with it. I have created many memories with my bike And i love my bike.

Style: when it comes to style, honda shine is probably very modest design as compared to trigeer or stunner. However body is strong and kinetic friendly

engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox: just awesome. I have been using bike over six year now and i have used this bike in multiple cities in india (mumbai, lucknow and now bhopal). Still engine is just great. Gearbox is also up the mark of honda. Fuel economy is ok and depends much on vehicle maintenance.

Ride quality & handling: ride quality is very smooth. Though new riders must drive with caution as bike is bit heavy.

Final words: its one of the best chices i made. Six years old, still going as good. I would definitely recommend honda shine. Value for money

    areas of improvement

    pros

very low maintenance, really good engine quality by honda, great pickup even after 30k kms,

    cons

engine heats up a bit, simple design, side indicators are major disappointment

2017 purchase, good commuter bike. Ideal office going bike for any generation as it is pocket friendly (fuel efficient + low maintenance + easy to fix). Do not make unnecessary modifications or have add ons on the bike, makes no sense on ruining a commuter bike look. Engine is reliable and good riding experience with decent suspension. Comfortable for pillion as well. Do not look for corns, reason why bike with high-end specs and price exist. Bike does a decent job with braking and performance, accept it and embrace any ride.

  • Most comfortable city bike in 125cc segment

    Kunal Kumar

Best commuter bike in the 125cc category which anyone can buy who loves comfort and smoothness. i bought it more than 2 years ago, and that was a lovely experience all the sales team even the owner is humble and grateful.
it is best for riding in the city and some short highway rides with the most comfortable in its category with the most slick gearbox.
looks is subjective but its design is its top most pro which is timeless and never feels outdated, performance is linear but it is good and calm not like its BS4 avatar's raw performance.
servicing is not an issue because Honda has a very good spread of service network, even in rural India like tier 3-4 cities you can find a service centre in around 20 Kms. while its maintenance is roughly the cheapest in the 125cc category.
    Its pros are
smooth ride and handling, slick engine and gearbox, lightweight body, good fuel economy.
while it has some cons too some parts look bad and some parts do have not good quality like the metering flap and console, and its price is increasing gradually.

  • Worst bike in the 125 c.C segment.

    Amrik Singh

Very bad experience.Engine cooling system is very bad.Maintenance costs is very high.Spares not easily available at honda service centres. And engine needs to be opened and fully overhauling after every 10000 or less kilometres. Gears ratio is also not proper.Bad bike experience for me. Not recommended bikes for everyone.

  • Upgradation not the Top Notch

    Ananda R Patil

    1.Buying Experience
a.)----For insurance (1yr full &5 year TP) dealer quoted around Rs.6183/- but actual on policy document it's around Rs.4800/- Why is differ in amount???
b.)----For Accessories dealer charge extra amount ( helmets) but can't provide the quality helmet. If they unable to provide quality helmets then why dealer force to customer..??
    2. Riding Experience
a.)---First bad thing in upgradation that is EXHAUST PIPE( SILENCER) not a single star for the silencer... Company have to think on it and consist on OLD EXHAUST..
b.)--- Second thing is sound... shine known for its silent sound but in BS-VI it's sounds very ridiculous...
    ZERO stars for this.
3.) Why headlights on when you on ignition switch ..??
