Got mileage of

60 kmpl

I bought this bike on 18 aug and on the very first day i faced the problem of gear shifting. When i investigated i found that about 95 percent sp 125 have this issue and this is the major point one should consider before talking this bike. Some other issue are also there like the headlight looks good but is just for show and doesn't perform well in night. Some problem were created by dealer. They said they would give bike in 93k but gave in 93600 and they did not adjust the clutch so the clutch was hard and the eco light did not work on my bike. The placement of the gear is the worst one can imagine, the front part is in the plane of foot rest and the rear part is above the plane of footrest so it becomes boon to use gear in traffic, it is like you cannot shift like heel and toe shifter because the rear part is in air and also not like only toe shifter way cause the front part is not accessible. Instantaneous mileage show is wrong it shows 99.9 kmpl. Slim tera tyre offers good grip on dry tarmac but on wet surfaces you have to be watchful. The break on my bike is disk and breaking is decent, the initial bite is lacking. Rear break is hard and not work nicely. Parts are expensive considering it is 125cc bike and the fibers used on bike is also very cheap. The fit and finish is very poor, the panels are not fitted properly. The rough edges are evident and annoying. Talking of drive quality, the bike is smooth and refine. The best eco speed is 45 which i think is less according to 125cc. It is like adding 5th gear in 100cc, i am not talking of power but the sweet spot of the engine. Suspension are good when riding double and is bouncy in single. While stop and go traffic your hand hits the handle bar and that creates pain not because of posture but because of handle bar design. This is expensive bike and if you don't mind vibrations then i would suggest go towards hero glamour. Atleast the ergonomics of that bike is better. Silent starter is good for sneaking away from home without knowing.

I used to ride an Activa 2012 model. Having 4 mopeds at home and buying a new moped would be boring so decided to switch up and buy a bike instead. I wanted a 125 cc bike as I wanted it for my daily use. Being a college student I cannot afford to ride a bike with low mileage.
And sp125 was the perfect one...!
Comfort: this bike has amazing comfort
Engine: This 125cc engine from Honda is refined. Even better than Raider and other 125 cc bikes. Just you need a 2 min cold start to lower the rpm every time you start the bike. Once the engine is warm and the rpm drops it's ready to go giving you an awesome performance.
Maintainance: This bike is easy to maintain. After my free services were done from Honda, I just bought the following: Motul 5100 10w30 engine oil, oil filter original, air filter original and other parts if needed from the service center. Gave it to my old mechanic and the bike is good as new.
Need to replace the air filter every 6k kms.
If you maintain this bike and change the oil every 2500 kms it's a charm to ride. And this applies to every bike that you buy.
Cons: Honda service centers are useless they just scam you. Instead, get your service done every 2.5k kms with good quality products and a trustworthy mechanic. Also, I had Head O Ring(gasket) leakage 1 time after 6k kms. Build quality is a bit not up to the mark as expected from Honda.
Mileage: this bike gives me approx 50-57kmpl in the city. And on the highways cruising from 80-90 kmph this gives me easily 60+kmpl.
Overall: this bike is awesome in the 125cc segment and amazing and value for money buy. Easy recommendation from my side.

I love this model. On average, I say it's value for money but some issues like mileage can perform more & spacing & yes it can be a little bit easier to price because in the market there are many bikes available so people can afford that one. So please if you can check the price to a little bit low cost like 98k or 95k.

The bike is very comfortable for long rides. There is no back pain and fatigue even after doing nonstop long rides. Mileage is also good from a 125 cc engine point of view. A digital meter is a good revolution it gives detailed information about current mileage, petrol level, etc. The bs6 model removes the problem of cold start in early winter mornings.

I bought this bike from the Bikewala website's dealer, every detail was perfect on the website. The only problem with the bike is oil, otherwise no other bike can beat it in this segment. Best performance, best mileage, best looks. All I would say is that if you want the best bike on a budget of around 1 lakh, sp 125 is for you.

I have been using the Honda Shine Sp125 bs4 model since 2019 now I am thinking of changing it because I am a marketing guy who travels more than 100 km every day. After 2 to 3 years I got a problem with my back and the mileage I measured was not up to the mark on the Highway I get 48 to 50 km and in city 45 I am very satisfied with my bike never ask for big maintenance if you are looking for 125 segments it is one of the best but keep in your mind it's not one of the best in comfort I experienced after using some month in first you will not get any symptoms.

Best in 125cc segment to date in all terms ( mileage, ground-clearance, pick-up & seating comfort, etc ). But we cannot ride it above 400km.
The bike suspension is nice and comparable to its counterpart TVS Raider & seat is comparable to its counterpart because it has a big height.
LED headlights, nice odometer, and can set it again on a per trip basis to get real-time data or analytics of your vehicle. shows time on the odometer.

I've been using last 3 months onwards am facing a gear shifting issue and the fuel indicator is not that accurate. If you drive the bike for more than 20 minutes with a speed above 90 kmh then I observe a burning smell apart that everything is fine looking good and very flexible.
The bike looks like a mixed version of the Honda Livo 110 and Shine SP 125. I guess It will dominate the Indian city roads very soon. Can see many SP 125cc bs6 bikes on the roads especially that matte axis grey metallic color.

It's a good bike for families and youth also. This bike offers good mileage. Overall best value-for-money bike. Stylish and best-performing vehicle. But some updates are required for this bike like Bluetooth connectivity and usb charging port. I've been using this bike for 3 months. I like this bike very much.

  • Honda SP 125

    Ruchir Yewale

  • It looks good mileage is also good and very easy to weigh.

I love this model. On average, I say it's value for money but some issues like mileage can perform more & spacing & yes it can be a little bit easier to price because in the market there are many bikes available so people can afford that one. So please if you can check the price to a little bit low cost like 98k or 95k.

  • Good for comfort

    Sarvesh Kulkarni

The bike is very comfortable for long rides. There is no back pain and fatigue even after doing nonstop long rides. Mileage is also good from a 125 cc engine point of view. A digital meter is a good revolution it gives detailed information about current mileage, petrol level, etc. The bs6 model removes the problem of cold start in early winter mornings.
