This bike is very smooth and rides lightly. There is no need of any kind. One thing I want to improve is that the sound of the horn of the bike is a bit thin considering its looks and the company can improve it if it wants. The average of the bike is also better and it is a better option at such a low price. After riding a lot of bikes I had a better experience and I am very happy.

  • Honda SP125 Review

    Pritam Sitaram Jagtap

This review is completely based on personal experience. I have purchased bike on 31 August 2022.
Pros- Good Mileage, Nice look with commuter bike.
    Cons--
1.From starting only i felt problems with gears when you are shifting gears to lower sometimes it gets stuck in between two gears and due to that bike gets in 0 speed if you have not experience on bike definitely it can cause a serious accident. Consider you are changing gears in crowded road and gears get's stucked then you'll not have control on speed and if someone is behind you definitely some bad incident can happen.
As I said this things to service centre this is common issue for Honda SP125. So if you want this problem in your bike you can go ahead and purchase it.
    2. Recently I felt problem with button start so I give bike to service centre on Monday and they said there is problem with clutch switch or with battery. So I can see in bill they have changed the clutch spring. But also they send it to Exide battery company for replacement although it's not even one year completed for bike as it's in warranty period as per them they said battery will be back in 2,3 days but after 5 days I got battery till that time I have to use kick start. If someone is depend on button start then they have to leave bike at home only. And if there was problem with battery still I have to pay for something clutch switch. I don't know they have skilled mechanic or not or they just want to take some extra charges from customer.
    3. Heat issue on engine side. As per Honda service executive this is normal for Honda SP125.
    4. Whenever I give bike to service centre they always do some setting changes with Clutch, means i can feel i have to loose clutch bit more to get bike in acceleration.
    5. Even if you said problems like this with Service Executive they completely put that on Honda manufacturing so your employees are not even loyal to how we should trust on.
Personally I always trust on Honda Bike built quality. But all issues are faced in less than one year of purchasing bike I don't know what happened with SP125. If you want you can go with Unicorn or other models but with this model you will get lot of issues and they don't even have any explanation.

    Prabal

I rode it smoothly ( no sudden acceleration nor sudden break), and I got mileage of about 75kml. I used to fuel up to 300 rupees and ride around 220 km. The only problem with this bike is that if I ride for a long distance, it starts paining my back. And also sometimes, the gear is stuck. BEST FOR MILEAGE and daily use.

This bike looks and running is very amazing. It is light weight and in city it's normal.R ide is good but on long rides it is not possible as the bikes engine creates very high temperature which is too hot for our legs. This is best bike for middle class family and it is best choice for day to day life use. This is very low maintenance bike.

  • A Comprehensive Review of the Honda SP 125: A Practical Commuter Companion

    Analprabha Roy

    Introduction:
The Honda SP 125 is an offering from the renowned Japanese automaker, Honda, known for its reliability and efficiency. As a successor to the CB Shine SP, the SP 125 is designed to cater to the needs of daily commuters, providing a balance of performance, fuel efficiency, and comfort. In this review, we will delve into various aspects of the Honda SP 125 to determine its strengths and weaknesses.
    Design and Build:
The Honda SP 125 features a sleek and contemporary design that exudes a sense of sophistication. The body panels are well-crafted and fit together seamlessly, giving the bike a premium appearance. The angular headlamp and stylish LED tail lamp enhance its modern appeal. The bike's build quality is commendable, as Honda has used durable materials to ensure longevity.
    Engine Performance:
At the heart of the Honda SP 125 lies a refined 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine produces a modest yet adequate power output, making it perfect for city commuting. With a power output of around 10.7 bhp and a torque of 10.9 Nm, the SP 125 offers smooth acceleration, allowing riders to comfortably navigate through urban traffic.
    Ride and Handling:
The Honda SP 125 has a well-tuned suspension setup, comprising telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. This combination ensures a comfortable ride over most road conditions. The bike feels nimble and easy to maneuver, which adds to its overall ease of use in congested city streets. However, the ride can get slightly bumpy on rough terrains.
    Braking and Safety:
Honda has equipped the SP 125 with a front disc brake variant and a rear drum brake variant. The front disc brake offers adequate stopping power, promoting confidence while riding. The drum brake variant performs satisfactorily but might leave some riders wanting for better feedback. The bike comes with Honda's Combi-Brake System (CBS), which enhances braking performance and stability during sudden stops, further adding to the safety aspect of the SP 125.
    Fuel Efficiency:
One of the SP 125's standout features is its impressive fuel efficiency. With Honda's advanced HET (Honda Eco Technology), the bike delivers exceptional mileage, making it an economical choice for daily commuters. Riders can expect fuel efficiency figures ranging from 60 to 65 km/l, depending on road conditions and riding style.
    Features and Instrumentation:
The Honda SP 125 offers a reasonably well-equipped instrument console that includes a digital speedometer, fuel gauge, trip meter, and odometer. However, it lacks some modern features such as a gear position indicator and a tachometer, which might be missed by some riders.
    Comfort and Ergonomics:
The bike offers a comfortable and upright riding position, which reduces fatigue during long rides. The seat is well-padded, offering ample support to the rider and pillion. The ergonomics are well-designed, with easily accessible switches and controls, enhancing the overall convenience of riding the SP 125.
    Conclusion:
The Honda SP 125 is a commendable offering in the 125cc commuter segment, catering to riders seeking a reliable, fuel-efficient, and comfortable ride for daily commuting. Its sleek design, decent engine performance, and good fuel efficiency make it a practical choice for city dwellers. However, it could benefit from additional features and improvements in the braking department. Overall, the Honda SP 125 is a sensible option for those who prioritize practicality and dependability in their two-wheeler choice.
