User Review of Unicorn by Vikramdharavath

Just completed 2000 km. Being a new rider I've compiled some facts which may be helpful to those who are looking to buy this machine.
**Pros**
1. Smooth Engine. You can cruise at 80 kmph with little to no vibration.
2. Good mileage. I got mileage of 50 kmpl. Which will only increase with more servicing.
3. Superbly comfortable to ride. The mono shock gives and edge. Beside,s a long seat gives more space to pillion.
4. Good handling. You can manuovre in traffic quite easily.
5. Braking is really good, atleast in the city.
**Cons**
1. The biggest issue that I've faced is the gear gets stuck while downshifting. You've got to release the clutch a little bit sometimes to shift the gear properly. Didn't get much help from the service centre either. The told that this phenomenon will keep happening until you change the engine oil 3-4 times.
2. Too many false Neutrals.
N.B: The design is too old and not a feature rich vehicle. Although I'm quite comfortable with the design.
If you're looking for a bike mostly for city with a powerful engine and to go on short or medium touring, this is it!!

I have been using Unicorn BS6 for the last 4 years, it is just amazing and has extraordinary performance, no complaints yet, and service and service costs are also reasonable, if we maintain the vehicle with proper maintenance and service it will long last, now 45000+ kms reached, still there are no major complaints.

In my school time, my relatives and neighbors had the unicorn bike and when I rode that for the first time I felt the soft sound it was amazing. Then I asked them about mileage and performance they gave good reviews about the bike. Then I decided to buy a Honda unicorn in 2024. The first ride felt like a pleasure and My dad was very comfortable to ride that bike. Then he took up for a long ride and came back safe and comfortable. It gives a decent mileage. The showroom service is good and reliable. I have completed 7000km in my unicorn still now there is no change between the first ride and now. It still looks like wow some of the people ask about my bike and ride it and give good reviews.

The bike has very good style speed and performance wise satisfied quality .maintainance is also average and look vide also fabulous riding experience is good. still, I have not found any problem. And balance is also good. Long distance Motorcycle riding is one of those exciting things I do, to know the unknowns and to know my inner-self better. I regularly go for 300-500 KM single-day rides on weekends. Multiple-day rides like, 800-1000 KM rides and even rides beyond 1500 KM also occur frequently on my list. Every time I start my motorcycle, my heart starts pumping faster. I may not be aware of the road ahead, but the challenges motivate me more, and make me a stronger ‘me’. The riding adventure gives me greater knowledge, learning, and most above immense pleasure.
Whenever I start the ride, the feeling of fresh morning air on my face, empty roads, and the beckoning of the unexplored destination fills my heart with such joy that I never wish to ask for the day to end. I just want to ride non-stop until the fuel tank gets empty. As my tires hit the tarmac, I embrace the freedom to go my speed, take the turns I please, push limits on my terms, and focus on nothing but the trail ahead of me. It is addicting, especially when I mix in empty trails, soft light, and perfectly moistened dirt from the morning's dew.

This is the worst bike of the decade which does not allow a local garage to repair the bike in India and only allows the showroom service center to check by their monopoly software of Honda so it is not a recommended bike for a long drive in remote areas else you have to tow your bike upto showroom at your cost. So I humbly request you not to buy such a bike and it is not worth by money too. It's self-experienced feedback.

Issues are unresolved after multiple visits -

*Handlebar shaking
*Gear functionality abnormal
*Gear noise while changing from 1to2to3
*Downing gear from top 5 to 4 doesn't work when the vehicle slows down most of the time.
*Rear grab handle paint is peels off,
*Abnormal Engine Noise.
*Engine overheating even for short ride( below 5km)
*Battery Discharge issue ( Resolved after 3 Visits in a month)
*Mileage Drop (About<35kmpl)
# No proper tooling was used during repair.
Within 10 days of vehicle delivery, the issues started and 4 OEM spare parts were replaced after holding the vehicle for about 10 days and the vehicle was idle /not used for about 20 days because of the stated issues.
The vehicle that is received is not fit for end-user usage and has multiple issues.

I have never faced any issue from day one the comfort and Smoothness engine gives the best riding experience. Overall I have not faced any issues till now. My unicorn gives mileage of around 55+ if you are looking for family and office purposes then this is the best bike in the market.
