Indian Motorcycles had officially revealed the 2015 Roadmaster luxury touring motorcycle in the second half of 2014, reviving the moniker which was last seen on the iconic manufacturer’s 2009 models. The Roadmaster is quite different from the rest of the vintage Indian line-up and rivals modern cruisers like the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide.
The Roadmaster is powered by the same 111 cubic inch or 1811cc ‘Thunder-Stroke’ V-twin engine which is also used in the Chief Classic, Chief Vintage and the Chieftain. The engine is rated at 139Nm of torque, and owners can customise it with a ‘Big Sucker’ intake which improves the cruiser’s performance and throttle response.
The Roadmaster is a faired cruiser which comes with modern creature comforts like keyless ignition, ABS, tyre-pressure sensors and LED lights, electrically adjustable visor, remotecentral locking for luggage cases and adjustable floorboards. It also gets heated leather seats with 10 individual settings for the rider as well as the pillion. Customisation options for the Roadmaster includes pillion armrests, a heel shifter and chrome racks to strap on even more luggage.
The Roadmaster will be available in thunder black, Indian Motorcycle red and a two-tone Indian Motorcycle red/ivory cream paint schemes. As the Roadmaster is imported as a CBU, it is the most expensive Indian motorcycle on sale in India.
Indian Roadmaster is available in the following colours in India.
