Indian Roadmaster Elite Summary
The Indian Roadmaster Elite is a bagger-style cruiser motorcycle from the American bikemaker. It is magnificent in the way it looks and brings an aura of exclusivity and grandeur to its owner. This is courtesy of its bulbous fairing and the humongous panniers and top box.
The Roadmaster Elite features a triple-tone Candy Red paint scheme. The colour is an ode to Indian Motorcycles’ iconic red paint seen on its bikes in 1904. The predominantly red base colour gets contrasting black hues and hand-painted, golden letterings. Meanwhile, the 10-spoke diamond-cut alloys look flashy.
The feature list on the Indian Roadmaster Elite includes LED lights with cornering functionality, TFT instrumentation with Bluetooth connectivity, Apple Car Play, and navigation. It also gets a 12-speaker, 600-watt music system, heated and cooled seats, and a TPMS system. It also gets remote locking functionality for the panniers and the top box.
Powering the Roadmaster Elite is a 1,800cc, Thunder Stroke 116, air-cooled, V-twin engine that churns out 120bhp and a peak torque of 170Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The engine is renowned for its smoothness and refinement and offers oodles of torque to cruise on highways.
The motorcycle is suspended by 46mm telescopic forks and a monoshock with an air adjust system. It rides on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels, shod with Metzeler Cruisetec tyres. Meanwhile, the motorcycle drops anchors with the help of 300mm twin discs at the front and a 300mm rear disc.
The Indian Roadmaster Elite is limited to 350 units worldwide. Although it stands in a league of its own, it faces competition from the likes of the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special, BMW R 18 Transcontinental, and the Honda Goldwing Tour.
