India Kawasaki Motors has launched the 2023 KX250 in our market. This motorcycle is aimed for track use only and it will be available in Lime Green colour. It will be imported via the completely built-up route in the country and has been launched at a premium price tag.
The 2023 iteration of the KX250 gets several technical changes over its predecessor. The company claims that the updated 249cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine now delivers improved performance across the rev range. In fact, Kawasaki claims that this is the most powerful KX250 developed till date. Further, this model gets new gearing, revised suspension settings, and new tyres that are aimed to offer improved handling. Other changes to this premium Kawasaki model include lighter and wider footpegs, longer exhaust header pipe, and advanced ignition timing.
In order to get improved performance, the motor benefits from finger-follower valve actuation, revised processing for the throats of intake and exhaust ports, higher rate for valve spring to match a higher rev limit, revised combustion chamber design, flatter piston crown, revised crankcase design, and a hydraulic clutch. It also gets launch control mode and three engine map choices. In terms of hardware, the KX250 is built around an aluminium perimeter frame. Other hardware on this motorcycle comprises a petal disc brake, Renthal aluminium Fatbar, Kawasaki’s ERGO FIT adjustable handle and footpeg positions, and slimmer shrouds.
The Kawasaki KX250 does not have a direct rival in the Indian market. Meanwhile, Kawasaki also offers the KX100, KX450, KLX110, KLX150G, and KLX450R in our market.
