My second bike coming up from a 200cc bike. The ninja 650 is the perfect upgrade to do it all - commuting, touring and taking to the track (maybe not off-roading). It provides you the commuting within the city, or the comfort of cruising over 120kmph all day long without breaking any sweat, but also has ample power to bring a smile to your face when twisting that throttle. The engine & the gearbox are silky smooth and have always performed well even during extended riding. The service costs seem quite appropriate, and the argument of lower maintenance costs by honda, suzuki or yamaha etc. Doesn't hold much relevance, since either they don't have any bikes in the same segment in India, or it's way too overpriced (e.G. Honda cbr 650r costs rs.935441 ex-showroom vs the ninja 650 being 7.12 lakh INR ex-showroom, it although it both bikes are vastly different in their power & engine classes).
