The Kawasaki Versys 1100 is a sports adventure touring motorcycle, powered by a 1,099cc, inline-four cylinder engine. The engine features many updates over its predecessor, including a higher compression ratio, longer funnels inside the airbox, and more. As a result, the power output has gone up from 118bhp to 133bhp, while the maximum torque has gone up to 112.5Nm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The design of the bike is largely the same as the outgoing bike. It has massive body panels that add to the visual mass and road presence of the bike. That said, the visual bulk on the upper half of the bike is heavier than the lower half, due to the 17-inch wheels, making the bike look distinct.
Kawasaki has introduced the new Versys 1100 in three variants, namely base, S, and SE, which are the same as before. The top-spec SE trim gets Showa electronic semi-active suspension, while the other two variants get manual suspension with fewer adjustment provisions. The only other hardware tweak comes in the form of a 10mm larger, 260mm rear disc brake.
In terms of features, the bike gets a USB Type-C charging port, ride modes, traction control, and ABS.
Kawasaki is likely to launch the bike in March 2024 and is expected to cost between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 12 lakh, ex-showroom.
