Comparisons of the 4 best adventure motorcyles. Royal enfield himalayan ktm adventure 390 bmw g 310 gs hero xpulse 200 4v

I am very glad to write a review about my very first own bike. And for that, i had multiple options in my head. 1. Royal enfield himalayan2. Ktm Adventure 3903. Bmw g 310 gs4. Xpulse 200 4vAfter lots of research and findings, here's my conclusion:1. Royal enfield himalayan -> • excellent off-roader, • spoke wheels and smoother suspension, • perfect ergonomics, • responsive low and mid-range This adventure bike the comparatively lower seat height (800mm) , can't do justice for short riders yet is reachable to medium heights. Coming to the downside of this bike, • it lacks power and touring capabilities, • misses out in the high range.• having packed up with 411cc, +5 bhp / +5 torque is expected. But overall, it's value for money and a great bike.2. Ktm adventure 390 -> beast! performance. Single cylinder, 373.27 cc, and delivers almost 43 bhp is the power of Austrian engineering. Because of its unmatched performance in the BMW!!! that's a head-turning brand. You can easily tell this is a premium super-bike for people who do not have much knowledge with respect to bikes, as this bike looks very premium. • it has wide tires front: 110/80 - r19 rear: 150/70 - r17. Makes it look huge when compared with the other 3 bikes. • the typical BMW colors go very well with the body and if the design is your no.1 priority, this will be your excellent choice (can be subjective too). Enough just about the looks, because that's the only good thing I found in this machine, as it is powered by the same TV's apache rr 310 engine tuned for adventure riding. • not as punchy and responsive as KTM, but good enough engine. • the suspension is softer and not confident while bending into the corners.• also do not come with much electronics, just dual channel abs, and poor digital display. • as it is a BMW ₹₹₹ on-road cost, servicing, spare parts, etc. Are on the expensive side. **owner’s review: first service cost was ₹5500 @ 1000 km, second was ₹8000 @ 10000 km, & upcoming third will be around ₹15000 @ 20000 km. Done a regular service & chain replacement @ 15000 km for ₹8000. Now I must change the front fork oil seal and oil with a third service, which will cost ₹3800. I have changed the back brake pads twice & front brake pad once, which costs me a total of ₹6000. I have spent a total amount of ₹46300 for 20000 km/ for two years as maintenance cost. I think it is a very big amount for a 300 cc single-cylinder motorcycle.**4. Hero xpulse 200 4v -> the most value for money motorcycle to my eyes, worth <2lakhs and the best off-roader. Best suspension with long travel front: cartridge type (dia 37mm) with adjustable compression and rebound damping rear: rectangular swingarm with 10-step preload adjustable mono-shock (for pro model).• because of its lightweight 161kg (kerb weight), off-roading gets a lot easier. • spoke wheels, long travel suspension, asks for more and more bad roads and no roads!• 40kmpl is a bonus, providing around 500kms range for a full tank of petrol. Now for the downside—• 18.9 bhp is very boring on the highways and struggles even on 100 km. Cannot munch on the miles, but fun on off-roads. • brakes could have been betterTo simplify this whole review, if you require a:Off-roader = hero xpulse 200 4vBest design = BMWg 310 gs (again subjective)Best performance/electronics = KTM 390 adventureDecent class adventure = royal enfield himalayanHope this review is helpful for you and lets you choose your perfect motorcycle!

Comfortable Touring Machine

Brought SW version for long-distance touring. Will rate the buying experience as average from the KTM dealership since they just only want to get the bike sold to the customer at any cost to achieve their sales target. Coming to the bike, need to keep the engine above 2000 rpm to avoid the bike getting stalled which has happened multiple times for me, post 4000 rpm it is very smooth for a single cylinder. Suspension and tire gave me good confidence to trash bike on bad roads and it did a really good job. Quickshifter is useless and I completely avoid using it. The bike gets Bluetooth connectivity but the KTM app for turn-by-turn navigation is not available on PlayStore so that's also of no use, you can only connect your phone for caller identification. Seat height might make most of us opt for a lower seat variant, I'm 5.11 and it works well for me but while riding standing up, felt the need for handlebar risers as stock height is very low for standing-up riding, and there no way you can grip fuel tank with legs which takes confidence. Braking performance is good and has a good feel and feedback along with the Metzeler tire, even on wet surfaces it offered good grip and confidence. The only concern is fear of puncture due to the spoked wheel with tube, would have been great if they had offered a tubeless spoked wheel. Kept the bike in stock condition and didn't add extra weight by putting in aftermarket crash guards. Did install Barkbuster handguards as I did not like the stock flimsy handguards and also replaced stock mirrors with Double Take mirrors.
