Hero introduced the Impulse in late 2008 and it was the first affordable dual sport to be available in the Indian market. Oriented towards those who choose to take the path less trodden, the Hero Impulse from first glance looks to play the part. It gets a 90/90x19 52P MRF Zappers in the front and 110/90x17 60P rear tyre which is also an MRF Zapper. The upright seating position and high front mud guard all contribute to the butch appearance of the motorcycle.
It gets an analogue RPM and digital speedometer combination which is directly attached to the front cowl. Along with the usual bells and whistles, the digital section also contains the fuel gauge, trip metre and a clock for easy reference. Other standard features include electric start, front disc brake and rear swing arm with Nitrox mono suspension.
It is powered by an air cooled 149cc single cylinder mill that produces 13bhp and 13Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a chain drive and a five-speed sequential transmission. The Hero Impulse is currently a niche motorcycle in the Indian market.
The ARAI mileage of Hero Impulse is 55 kmpl.

Nice bike for the adventurous rider, its a superb bike for off-road driving with a comfortable ride and having a complete adventurous look with great mileage and look. But little more improvement requires like tubeless tyres etc and soon i am going for a new model but it has seen that the new model has little higher cost and its too without tubeless tyres.

Love for hero impulse
Adithya
The only one wonderful machine made by hero. I love to ride it on roads and of-course offroads. It's like a toy on offroading and on rural roads. The bike can fulfill your needs except on highways. That was hero's mistake. They didn't give the power it needs. On highways i wish it would have more powerful. But we can cruise at a speed of 80 km/h comfortably.

Problem in rear shock mono shock
Dinesh
I bought this bike three months ago, i am riding this bike daily. The main problem is in the mono shock. I did not find the bike comfortable while i ride in the rough road, i think rear mono shock is not working well, might be technical default. I took the bike in the service center and made complain about it. They tried to fix it but the problem is same. So manufacturer should check the rear shock and have to solve the problem and call the customer to change their mono shock. Thank you.

Problem in rear shock mono shock
Dinesh
Bike appearance is good, fuel tank is looking but the capacity is less, i think the main problem is in the rear shock mono is not good, should be heavy, if you ride in the rough road there is noise in the rear side, due to shock. It is good that there is abs in the front tyre. Pick up is good. Love to drive this bike.
