Honda Shine Summary

Price: Honda Shine price for its variant - Shine Drum starts at Rs. 83,834. The price for the other variant - Shine Disc is Rs. 87,834. The mentioned Shine prices are the average ex-showroom.

Honda Shine is a mileage bike available in 2 variants and 5 colours. The Honda Shine is powered by 123.94cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 10.59 bhp and a torque of 11 Nm. With both front and rear drum brakes, Honda Shine comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. This Shine bike weighs 113 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 10.5 liters.

The Honda Shine is meant to be a workhorse and has consistently been the second highest-selling motorcycle in India. What has worked in its favour for years now is the engine refinement, fuel efficiency, comfort, and Honda’s bullet-proof reliability. Even the no-nonsense yet elegant design is liked by the majority.

Powering the motorcycle is a smooth 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 10.59bhp at 7,500rpm and 11Nm at 5,500rpm. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The CB Shine gets conventional telescopic front forks and dual rear springs along with 18-inch alloy wheels at both ends. It can be had either with a drum brake at both ends or with a front disc, and a combined braking system (CBS) comes as standard equipment on both variants.

The bodywork comprises a bold headlamp, which is surrounded by an angular cowl. The fuel tank is a simple, curvy unit, which seamlessly blends with the large centre panels and the stubby tail section. The fuel tank capacity stands at 10.5 litres and the bike weighs 113kg (kerb), which makes it easy to manage and manoeuvre in the parking and in traffic. The Shine is quite simple on the feature front with an analogue instrument cluster, halogen lighting all around, and a silent starter.

BikeWale's Take

The CB Shine is one easy to run and maintain 125cc motorcycle. It is known for its refined motor, and a ride quality that makes daily commuting an easy affair. But it lacks features.

      Honda shine best review

      Veeresh

Honda Shine is offered in two variants - Drum & Disc. As the names suggest, the Drum brake version is cheaper to buy while the Disc brake version is costly. We recommend the Disc brake version as it is only marginally costly but it offers better braking and more safety than the Drum brake version.
Honda Shine is a 125cc and 100cc motorcycle developed by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) and Bangladesh Honda Private Limited (BHL), first introduced in India in 2006. It was a 4-speed motorcycle. It is one of the best-selling motorcycles in India in the 125cc segment.

      Cb shine 125 review

      Gajera Sharan

Honda Shine CB125 has gained tremendous popularity owing to its practical features and practicality as a commuter motorcycle. It is technologically efficient, cost-effective to maintain, and wears a sleek design to attract a diverse group of riders. More importantly, it appeals to those who want a motorcycle that is cheaper for daily use.
The Honda Shine CB125 has one remarkable advantage and that is its efficient engine. It has a 124Cc air-cooled engine optimized for achieving a balance between efficiency and peak power. Users have also reported a smooth experience while driving through congested city traffic and highway roads, striking a fine balance between speed and comfort. It also has 5 different ratios of transmissions to allow smooth shifts, making it ideal for daily commuters.
Another key element is fuel economy and the Shine CB125 features some great efficiency, giving a fuel economy ranging between 55 and 60 Km/L. Hence it is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to save on fuel costs.
Concerning the maneuverability of the bike, it is lightweight and allows for greater control over the movement of the vehicle within cramped places. The shock absorbers have particularly been suited for the kind of roads found in cities, as they enable one to cushion most of the bumps one might come across. Also, the brake system, which includes the front disc and the rear drum brakes as well, is sound and ensures there is enough stopping power.

Shine Honda Bike: A Perfect Blend of Style, Performance, and Reliability

      Shital

I’ve been riding the Honda Shine for a while now, and I must say, it’s one of the best bikes in its segment.
The seating position is ergonomic, and the well-cushioned seat ensures long rides are fatigue-free. Its lightweight frame and precise handling make maneuvering through crowded streets a breeze.

This bike BS6 is the worst model and it has so many problems with brakes, mileage, light issues headlight issues and its problems are increasing day by day. I have ever seen this model this Shine Honda bike is a waste of money and I don't prefer my townspeople either. so don't buy this bike this company model shows less amount on the websites but it increases money after buying the bike for the repair works so please don't buy this bike. V.V waste bike It is a shame for Honda company to fail to model.

Worst bike for multi users or daily users ,

      Kolla Venkata Suresh

It's the worst experience, 700 km clutch plates have gone, continues to sound after 3 Rd gear, when u are single it's okay to drive, but when double riders are there it has a pickup issue and it's struggling for pickup, multiple time timing chain and clutch sets changed when asked about an issue they say some manufacturing defect in mould,
Do not buy Honda Sine at all, worst service by the service centre and bike selling agencies,
Druvesh Honda is worst in that, they only worry about selling bikes, when approached for an issue they are least bothered and their service centre loots you by the name of service and others
