Suzuki Motorcycles India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the most affordable V-Strom series model. This new quarter-litre adventure tourer, christened as the V-Strom SX, rivals the likes of KTM 250 Adventure, Benelli TRK251, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and Hero XPulse 200 in the Indian market.
The new V-Strom SX is based on the company’s existing quarter-litre model, the Gixxer 250. The design includes a single-pod headlight, tall stance, muscular fuel tank, tall windscreen, and beak-style front fender. The feature list comprises an LED headlight, LED taillight, and a Bluetooth-enabled fully digital instrument cluster. Apart from the ride-related information, the console also shows alerts on incoming messages, calls, and turn-by-turn navigation. It also shows speed exceeding warnings and displays phone battery level. A USB charging slot and a rear luggage rack are also part of the package.
The mechanical specifications on the new V-Strom SX include a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor that delivers 26.5bhp of power and 22.2Nm of peak torque. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The hardware comprises telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock to handle the suspension tasks. The anchoring setup includes single discs on both wheels while the safety net is handled by dual-channel ABS. The V-Strom SX rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels that are wrapped in dual-purpose 100/90 front and 140/70 rear tubeless tyres.

1. I bought this from the Suzuki showroom in Thane, (Kiran Suzuki), the overall experience was good, but we very clear they are not giving any accessories unless we ask them 2. This bike is very smooth to ride, above 7000 rpm she is a beast, and below that she is a good commute. I never had to worry about potholes she take them very well. 3. Look-wise, everyone will stop to take a look and ask you if she is a superbike, she is a head turner. 4. Performance-wise she has two face clams and is easy to handle till 5000rpm, a beast at 7000rpm nicely tuned engine ensures smooth power transmission. I can say best in the segment Cons could be the display, for a bike like this Suzuki should have gone for a TFT display, Suspension is good but not the best, Braking is not the best need to be very careful.

One of the best decisions I took just with my friend's word, seriously. The only con is that you'll tend to draw too much attention. So you better dress and ride properly. Rediscover the sheer pleasure of riding. It is quite big and yet under your full control. ZERO vibration, even @ 100! So responsive that it makes you feel like it listens not cos you are the Boss, but cos it Respects the Rider!

1. The buying experience was good.2. Riding was a bit stiff. But does the job on highways. Not an offroader bike.3. Looks wise I loved it. But performance wise it's average. Decent power. Got a mileage of 35-38 in highways and 28-30 in the city.4. Maintenance cost is low but not the servicing. I paid 1300 for my first free servicing. Idk how much I have to pay next.5. Pros:- Overall Good looking bike, has a road presence. A proper highway tourer. You will enjoy it on the highways. Cons:- (i) My bike has vibrations on the right accelerator handle. Idk if someone else has it. On long tours, my right-hand goes numb.(ii) Stiff suspension that's why it is strictly not an offroader. Go for a Himalayan if you want off-roading.(iii) Clunky gearbox. I have difficulty with shifting gears. It's rough, especially with the 6th gear.(iv) The engine makes a bad sound when I rev it to the max.(v) Headlamps are completely useless in the dark.(vi) The top speed I got is around 110km/h. It doesn't go more than that. Or maybe I am a noob idk. And the cruising speed is around 60-70 if you want a mileage of 35-38. I hope I get more after 2 more services.(vii) Although this might not be a con but i suggest you buying a rear tire hugger. The bike gets completely dirty on the rear because of the sticky tires which is good for gripping during rainy seasons.(viii) The Pricing of this bike. It is not value for money.

I decided to bring this V storm home after checking 8 bikes My idea was clean and straightforward I wanted an adventure touring bike I do 95% of highway touring only 5% off-road here and there some city roads are also off-road anyways So the 250cc engine is a sweet spot you get both mileage and power I'm getting 40 kmpl on highways and between 34-36 in the city,The detailing and shape geometry used in this bike is solid 5/5,Performance is mind-blowing picks up with full power on acceleration,Even after driving for straight 5 hours, I felt no pain in the backThe sitting poster is comfortable for long rides, and the service cost is also not pricey but indicators are not up to date (still you can upgrade for LED aftermarket)And instrument cluster is not colourful Overall I'm Happy Riding my BoyI give 4.8/5 for this bikeBuy it! 😁
