Yamaha Aerox 155 Review

  • Good Things

    • Has excellent road presence
    • 155cc engine churns out excellent performance
    • Priced really well
  • Could be Better

    • Doesn’t get any floorboard space
    • Spares are a bit expensive

BikeWale's Take

The Aerox 155 is a maxi-scooter from Yamaha which gets the fantastic motor from the proven R15. The engine offers excellent performance, is refined and is also fuel efficient. Plus, the scooter has good road presence which makes it quite aspirational. But when it comes to overall practicality, it isn’t great due to lack of floorboard space. Plus, Yamaha spares are a bit expensive for its premium products.

It is highly recommended. Stylish bike with a smart key and smart features. I rode nearly 1000 km with this and it is a fabulous ride and unmatchable with any scooter. Please take a test ride and you will love it. The torque and the pickup it has is unmatchable with any other scooter in the present industry.

The ride is incredibly comfortable, with a smooth suspension that handles bumps effortlessly. The engine produces a wonderful sound, balanced yet exciting. There's ample space for my helmet and other gear, and the mileage is fantastic. Everything functions smoothly, making it a joy to ride. Thanks.

      The pickup monster

      C Sai

      To start with...
The "scooty" I mean it's no ordinary scooty but not a bike. It's more like a slightly tuned-down version of mt 15 or r15 without a gearbox.
There are some upsides and some downsides too
      Upsides -
      - The pickup is amazing. I was shocked when I throttled the accelerator.
      - Comfortable for the rider.
      - Wide range customisation window.
      - Slips through the traffic like water in hand.
      - One of the best for those who are looking for performance and riding comfort without any hassle of shifting gears.
      Downsides -
      - Body build quality is not top-of-the-line.
      - Takes some time to get used to as it's a very non-conventional type for a scooty.
      - The stock rear suspension is non-adjustable and a bit on the stiff side.
      - The pillion seat will be a bit hefty to get cozy as it's pretty flat.
      - A Smol fuel tank that will easily get emptied when you're going full-on without considering eco-ing.
And as for service, I'm not yet sure what the costs will be and not sure about the maintenance costs too.
      I'll update these shortly.

      Amazing performance, third class suspension

      Meet Damniwala

The maxi scooter is no doubt the fastest one in India in the affordable range. Amazing styling, best-in-class features, next-level road presence. 2 issues, one is the display panel visibility in the morning, and the major issue is the suspension, both rear and front but majorly front one is literally third class for what a customer is paying.

      Worse mileage,
      bad breaking,
no disk brake at the rear,
and hard suspension, due to it I got back and neck pain.
And due to the hard suspension body gets damaged by hard impact on potholes by the front hard suspension.
      Not worth the money.
      Only road presence.
Service center employee didn't help in any condition
      Worse experience.

Worst Scooter Dead in 15 days

      Agnidhra Banerjee

I bought the scooter on 19th May 2024 and in 15 days the scooter is dead.
I have purchased the top model as well.
I have 3 other scooters but I have never faced such a thing with a brand-new Scooty.
Worthless scooter. I mean how can it be dead within 15 days? I don't know what to do with this after spending 2 lacs on it.
my 15-year-old scooter is better than this trash.

Yamaha aerox 155 - disappointed with the rear suspension. Stiff like a rock.

I own a Yamaha aerox. Very disappointed with the rear suspension. Stiff like a rock...Beware you can easily suffer a spine injury. Don't know if Yamaha engineers have tested this for Indian road terrain. If they have & find it suitable, then they are not fit to be called engineers.

The rear suspension is extremely bad and harsh

      Prasad M V

The rear suspension is extremely bad and harsh, even a scooty is far better than this, one will feel the undulations of the road very badly. No matter what the engine can deliver, without a proper suspension setup everything else goes in vain.
Next is the bluetooth and the mobile application, the app does not get connected itself in the background.
