Moto Guzzi V85 Summary
The Moto Guzzi V85 is the Italian manufacture’s only adventure-touring offering. It looks similar to the V85 concept that was unveiled at the 2018 EICMA in Italy and incorporates a classic-inspired styling but gets modern features.
The V85 gets a muscular fuel tank, high-set mudguard and unique-looking twin LED headlamps with an LED strip in the shape of Moto Guzzi’s logo. Furthermore, it rides on spoke wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear), and sports an upswept exhaust, fork protectors, engine sump guard and hand guards to complement its off-road character.
It comes powered by an 853cc, V-Twin motor that produces 78bhp and 80Nm of torque. It gets an asymmetric swingarm and a new shaft drive transmission. In terms of electronics, the bike comes equipped with traction control, ABS and three ride modes - Road, Rain and Off-Road. It also gets a full-colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity.
As for competition, it goes up against the Triumph Tiger 800, Ducati Multistrada 950 and the BMW F850 GS in India.
