Bajaj Motorcycles has been continuously testing the Pulsar NS150 and the Pulsar NS180 since the beginning of this year. But the instances of these new bikes being spied are comparatively less, until now. We have managed to get very clear pictures of the Pulsar NS150 test mule that will replace the current model in next few months.
The test mule spied is the same bike that was seen early in January this year. However, we speculated that it could be the NS180 as there was another bike accompanying it that looked more of a 150 variant, thanks to the single grab rail and plastic rear mudguard. However, we believe Bajaj is testing two versions of the 150 variant. This spied bike was sporting a 100/90 section Eurogrip rear tyre. The same size tyres are used in the current Pulsar 150 and it being one of the most important aspects of a bike, the company won’t fit in a new size, until and unless there is substantial increase in power and torque. The pillion foot rest seen on this spied bike looks very similar to the ones on the Pulsar 135LS. The bike has both, kick start and electric start.
The overall design of the Pulsar NS150 has been taken from the Pulsar NS200, one of the most successful models for the Pune-based manufacturer. So it was obvious, the company would carry this design to some of their lineup. The spied bike was seen sporting a single seat, aluminium number plate holder and a split grab rail. Few components like the foot pegs, swingarm, crash guards, alloy wheels, instrument cluster, turn indicators, clip on handlebar are a complete lift-off from the 200 version.
The details of the engine of this bike are not known, but we are expecting a new engine from Bajaj. The engine cover says it has triple spark technology, but it could be Bajaj trying to mislead us. We expect Bajaj Motorcycles to launch the Pulsar NS150 and the Pulsar NS180 in the next few months without any increase in the price.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the Bajaj Pulsar NS150 and the Pulsar NS180.
