Ducati has revealed the new Multistrada 1200S compatible with a wireless technology linked to a Dainese’s D|Air motorcycle jacket. This technology has been developed by Ducati and Dainese and will help the rider in case of an accident.
Ducati’s Multistrada D|Air system is designed to deploy in just 45 milliseconds, protecting the rider and passenger’s body exposed to impact by absorbing the forces with an airbag expertly built into the jacket by Dainese. The system’s intelligence is able to recognise the main scenarios in which the Multistrada D|Air must deploy its airbag jackets. Those scenarios includes the vehicle’s frontal impact into another object, collision impact into the side of a vehicle side or rear impact from another vehicle and when control is lost and the motorcycle is sliding on its side.
This is a very interesting technology developed by both these companies. However, the new Multistrada 1200 S Touring D|Air is currently available in European countries only.
