The CBR150R failed to set the sales chart on fire in India but Honda is not stopping there. The Japanese manufacturer is in the process of refreshing this entry level performance motorcycle through a series of updates. The 2015 version was spied by iwanbanaran, which reveals new features.
The overall design cues look quite similar to the ones on the CBR300R, with the main change being the dual-headlamp assembly, instead of the single one which is seen in the current model. It also gets a new exhaust system with chrome shield making the motorcycle look slightly bigger. The fairing has been redesigned along with a new and taller windscreen. The turn indicator placement is now very close to the headlamp. Other new additions are the disc brake and the rear foot peg design. As per the picture source, the CBR 150R gets a new Pro-Link rear suspension setup – the one seen on the CBR250R.
There is no news on mechanical changes but there are high chances the CBR150R will continue to get the same engine that churns out 17.58bhp at 10,500rpm. We can expect this updated model to make its way to India only next year with the global launch happening sometime at the end of the year.
