Honda has unveiled the updated 2015 VFR800X Crossrunner. The adventure-touring motorcycle gets a major revamp in the design department as well as a boost in performance. It is expected to be showcased at the Motorcycle Live in the UK, later this November, with deliveries set to commence in December.
Styling updates to the VFR800X include changes to the fairing and the rear panel. While the earlier model looked quite bulky, the new VFR800X Crossrunner looks quite sporty thanks to its leaner fairing. The air scoops have been repositioned, and so have the grab rails. The engine gets a darker grey accent as opposed to the silver finish the earlier model got.
Changes to the VFR800X Crosrunner aren’t just cosmetic, and Honda has also made alterations to its 800cc V4 engine. The low and mid-range torque has been improved and the power out has also been raised to 105bhp, from 101bhp.
The seats of the VFR800X Crossrunner can now be adjusted to suit the rider’s riding style. Extra equipment includes a Selectable Torque Control System (S-TCS), which is Honda’s version of a traction control system, heated grips, self-cancelling indicators, LED lights and ABS.
While the Honda VFR800X Crossrunner isn’t available in India as of yet, touring enthusiasts, who like to have a bit of off-rod action can opt for other adventure-touring motorcycles like the BMW F650 and the Triumph Tiger 800XC.
