Ducati recently unveiled the new and improved 2016 Diavel Carbon. This carbon-fibre clad power cruiser has been given a host of technical and aesthetic updates along with a dark paint scheme and carbon fibre trim to complement the bike’s aggressive look.
The Diavel Carbon is made of lightweight composites and aluminium components which significantly aid its performance.
The Diavel Carbon’s low, long and sleek profile give the bike an aggressive character, rarely found in cruiser motorcycles.
It is built around a tubular steel trellis frame, which comes coated in dark chrome paint to complement the paint scheme.
The handlebar mounted instrument cluster gets an LCD display, which reads out speed, rpm, time, coolant temp, fuel level, rev-limit, DTC intervention and ABS status.
The Diavel Carbon gets dual 320mm disc brakes at the front with four-piston radial-mounted Brembo monobloc callipers.
The Diavel Carbon rides on lightweight Marchesini forged and machined 10-spoke alloy wheels.
The twin exhausts gets a brushed steel outer cover, while the manifolds are coated with black ceramic Zircotec.
The new Diavel Carbon gets a redesigned seat which offers more support for the rider and the pillion. It is available in a new black trim.
The Diavel Carbon is powered by a 1198cc Testastretta 11-degree L-Twin engine, which is rated at 162bhp.
The tail section is short and minimalistic, and gives the rear section the feel of a modern sportbike. It incorporates the LED tail lamps and turn signals in a single unit.
The lateral radiators located on either side of the fuel tank give it a muscular profile.
Despite its extreme proportions, the Diavel Carbon gets an upright riding position, which makes long distance riding comfortable.
Deliveries of the new Ducati Diavel Carbon in Europe will commence in October.
