Ducati has unveiled the 2016 Diavel Carbon in Bologna, Italy. Apart from a new paint scheme, this carbon-fibre clad power cruiser has been given a new seat and a few other technological and aesthetic updates.
The new Diavel Carbon boasts of an asphalt grey paint scheme which complements the bare carbon fibre and the frame’s dark chrome paintwork. It gets new exclusive forged wheels with an exposed machined finish, which should help cut down a few kilograms. The exhaust manifolds get Zircotec ceramic coating while the stainless steel silencer covers have been given a brushed effect. The redesigned seat offers a more comfortable ride and is available in a new black trim.
The new Diavel Carbon is offered with three packages - Sport, Touring and Urban. In its Urban avatar, the bike comes with lightweight, forged aluminum wheels, racing billet aluminum footpegs, a carbon fuel tank protector and billet aluminium frame plugs, front sprocket casing and clutch casing cover. The Sport package gets a carbon rear mudguard, carbon fiber headlamp cover, billet aluminum brake, clutch fluid reservoir caps and a rear brake fluid reservoir cover. The Touring package adds a set of panniers, a backrest and a windshield.
Powering the new Diavel Carbon is the same 1198cc Testastretta 11-degree Dual Spark V-twin engine. This engine delivers 162bhp and 130Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. Deliveries of the bike will commence in October 2015 and the prices are yet to be announced.
