Honda has teased the 2016 CB500F, ahead of the motorcycle’s debut at the EICMA Show, later this month. This 500cc streetfighter gets a slew of cosmetic and technical updates to bring it up to date with its rivals like the Suzuki SFV650, Yamaha FZ-07 and the Kawasaki ER-6n.
The 2016 Honda CB500F will be based on the same underpinnings as the 2015 model, it will benefit from new bodywork and paint schemes, to match its streetfighter cred. In line with the recently launched Honda CB500X, we can also expect a few technical updates like a new transmission, preload adjustability for the forks and LED headlamps and tail lamps.
The Honda CB500F is positioned in a very unique spot, where it goes up against bigger and more powerful middleweight motorcycles. While the CB500F loses out on the straight-out performance, the easily accessible power, lower sticker price and traditional Honda reliability make it a really sweet deal. Expect more details to be revealed as we get closer to the motorcycle’s launch date.
