Honda has thoroughly updated its CB500X and NC750X range of adventure motorcycles for 2016. Featuring several cosmetic and technical upgrades, both these motorcycles have been unveiled at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show. It’s worth noting that the CB500X is sold as the CB400X in Japan.
The CB500X is part of Honda’s range of mid-size 500cc motorcycles that was first unveiled at the 2012 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan.
Compared to the CB500F naked and the CBR 500R fully faired, the CB500X has slightly longer front suspension travel and a larger fuel tank.
The 2016 CB500X gets a 100mm taller windscreen, LED lights at both front and rear and pre-load adjustment for the front suspension.
Honda is also offering the 2016 CB500X with new colours to keep the design refreshed. The motorcycle retains its typical adventure styling with compact proportions.
As for the NC750X, Honda has gone for a more rugged, adventurous look. The motorcycle also gets LED lights front and rear and a taller screen.
The 2016 NC750X gets new Showa “dual-bending valve” front forks, increased helmet storage space and three levels of S mode for its dual clutch gearbox version.
The 2016 CB500X and NC750X will be shown at the Tokyo Motor Show alongside several concept models including a lightweight super sport concept and the electric EV-Cub Concept.
