The details of the 2016 Honda CBR150R are out in the public. It looks like these details have been taken from a leaked presentation.
As per the image, the 2016 version of the bike will get major cosmetic changes. The bike will get a twin headlamp assembly, along with a redesigned fairing, which has new rear view mirrors mounted on it. The presentation also shows a new LED headlamp, which is expected to increase the visual appeal of the bike.
The Japanese manufacturer has given the 2016 CBR150R a new instrument cluster, which is digital. The seat design is new, so is the tail lamp assembly. Honda has redesigned the swingarm, along with the exhaust in order to make the bike more attractive.
In terms of mechanicals, Honda hasn’t touched the powertrain. The bike continues to be powered by the same 150cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 17bhp at 10,500rpm and a maximum torque of 13Nm at 7500rpm.
The 2016 Honda CBR150R is expected to be unveiled in Indonesia this year. We won’t be surprised if Honda gets this model for display at the 2016 Auto Expo. Also note that, displaying this bike in India, doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be launched in India.
Stay tuned.
