A photo of the new Suzuki Access 125 has been leaked on the internet ahead of its rumoured unveiling at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The leaked image shows that the new Access 125 will be given a thorough cosmetic makeover to give it a premium feel. The front gets a new look thanks to the redesigned chrome-rimmed headlamp. The indicators, tail lamp and the body panels have also been redesigned, while the exhaust shield is now finished in chrome. Mechanically, the Access 126 is identical to the current model. At the heart of the scooter is a 125cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 9bhp and 10Nm of torque. Reports suggest that Suzuki might integrate Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology in this engine, to improve its efficiency. The suspension is made of telescopic fork at the front and a swingarm linked monoshock in the rear.
The updates on this facelift indicate that Suzuki is planning to field the Access 125 as a more premium offering. For 2016, Suzuki will be taking to take a new approach for the Indian market, details of which are expected to be revealed at the Auto Expo. The company is also expected to showcase a number of superbikes and new models in its exhibit at the biennial event.
