The final round of the 2016 Yamaha YZF-R15 One Make Race Championship concluded yesterday at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai. Antony Peter won the overall championship after winning both races over the weekend.
The racing event was organised in association with the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) and the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) and is a part of the Indian National Racing Championship 2016. The race was held this year in the Novice Category – single round - with only 40 participants. Out of the total, the top 20 performing participants in the qualifying round of the Novice category were selected for two races for the podium finish.
In Race 1, Antony Peter took the top spot followed by the first runner up Vishal S. The second runner up in Race 1 was Vipul. In Race 2, Peter dominated the race again for victory followed by first runner up Anoop Kumar and second runner up Vipul. In the overall standings of the 2016 Yamaha One Make Race Championship Antony Peter took victory followed by first runner up Anoop Kumar and second runner up Vipul.
