The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS has been spotted at a dealership. Apart from getting a few cosmetic changes, the new Pulsar 135LS has also been updated to meet BS IV emission norms.
Since it was launched in 2009, the Pulsar 135LS has hardly received any major technological or cosmetic updates. Now though, Bajaj has given the commuter bike a facelift with a new red/black paint scheme in line with the rest of the Pulsar range. The split seat has been replaced with a single-piece seat, and the grab rail has also been redesigned to a single piece. The engine now gets a grey finish, and the exhaust heat shield and clip-on handlebars are painted in matte black.
Powering the Pulsar 135LS is a 134cc single-cylinder DTS-i mill delivering 13bhp and 11Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission. This engine has been updated to meet the BS IV emission norms which will be implemented by April 2017.
The Bajaj Pulsar 135LS rivals other 125cc motorcycles like the Hero Glamour and the Honda CB Shine. While the other two are conservative commuter motorcycles, the Pulsar 135LS’s sportier appeal and the extra displacement give it an edge over its rivals. We expect it to be launched along with the rest of the 2017 Pulsar range before the end of this year.
