The facelift for Bajaj Pulsar 220F has been launched at Rs 91,201 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this update, the new Pulsar 220F is now Rs 2,274 more expensive than the outgoing model.
While the main motive of this update was to make the bike BS IV-compliant, Bajaj has also given the new Pulsar 220F a few cosmetic updates. Apart from the new paint schemes, the exhaust now gets a redesigned heat shield and matte black finish. The engine gets a matte grey finish while the instrument cluster gets a blue backlight. The cycle parts have been carried over from the previous model. The powertrain though, has been updated to meet BS IV emission norms. There has been no change in the power output. The single-cylinder 220cc engine delivers 21bhp and 19Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission.
The new Pulsar 220F is also available in two new paint schemes – red/black and blue/white. With an on-road price of Rs 1.03 lakh (Delhi), the Pulsar 220F shares the market space with the Hero Karizma, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Suzuki Gixxer SF and the Yamaha Fazer Version 2.0.
