Bajaj recently reintroduced the Pulsar NS200 in the Indian market in a BS IV-compliant avatar. Filling the void between the Pulsar 200F and the Pulsar RS200, the Pulsar NS200 has been pegged as a rival to the Yamaha FZ25 and the TVS apache RTR 200 4V. The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has been updated with new dual-tone paint schemes and graphics. There is a new ‘200’ decal on the tank extension.
The engine gets a matte grey treatment and a new belly pan which accentuates the streetfighter appeal of the motorcycle.
The Pulsar NS200 has been updated with auto headlamp on feature (AHO) to meet upcoming government regulations.
The Pulsar NS200 is built around a perimeter frame with the 199cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine as a stressed member.
While the engine has been revised to meet BS IV norms, it continues to deliver 23.2bhp and 18.3Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox.
The Pulsar NS200 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels suspended by telescopic front forks and a preload adjustable rear monoshock.
Stopping power is offered by Bybre callipers gripping on a 280mm front disc brake and a 230mm rear disc brake.
The raised clip-on handlebars, narrow and sculpted tank recess and the rear set footpegs offer an aggressive riding position.
