Bajaj recently launched the 2017 Pulsar RS200 at Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the main motive behind the update was to make the bike BS IV-compliant, Bajaj also took the opportunity to give the bike a facelift with new paint schemes. The sharp lines, edgy graphics and the projector headlamps on the Pulsar RS200 give it a very offbeat and racy look.
Nevertheless, the new blue/white and black/grey dual-tone paint schemes have toned down the aggression factor.
The instrument cluster integrates a blue-backlit digital display which shows speed, trip computers, fuel gauge and a clock.
The Pulsar RS200 is powered by a 200cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission.
The engine has been tuned to meet the BS IV emission norms, though it continues to deliver 24.5bhp and 18.6Nm of torque.
With a Bybre 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc brake setup, Bajaj also offers an optional single-channel ABS system.
The Puslar RS200 rides on conventional telescopic front forks and a seven-step preload adjustable rear monoshock.
The Pulsar RS200 gets low clip-on handlebars, rear set footpegs and a sculpted fuel tank which offer a sporty riding position.
