Harley-Davidson has introduced a host of technological updates for the Street 750, including a much-needed anti-lock braking system (ABS). While this update has only been launched in the US, Europe and Latin America as of now, we can safely expect it to be introduced for the Indian market as well.
Braking had been the Achilles heel of the Harley-Davidson Street 750, though this was taken care of to some extent in the 2016 MY update. Now though, the company has taken a step further and introduced an ABS system for both the Street 750 and the Street 500. Apart from ABS, these models also come with the company’s proprietary smart security system that is controlled by a proximity key-fob. Aesthetic updates include new dual-tone - vivid black deluxe and velocity red sunglo deluxe and fire red deluxe. All of this is being offered without any hike in sticker price of the motorcycle.
While the company’s official Indian website has already been updated, dealerships are clueless as to when these models will land up here. However, as the Street models sold in Europe, Asia and Latin America are manufactured in India, it is only a matter of time before the 2017 model is launched here. Harley-Davidson India refused to comment on the expected launch date of the new Street 750.
