With the 2017 Street Rod, Harley-Davidson is taking a shot at the middleweight streetfighter segment. Based on the Street 750, the Street Rod will rub shoulders against the likes of the Kawasaki Z650, Ducati Monster 797 and the Yamaha MT-07. Here is a photo gallery of the Harley-Davidson Street Rod -
The flyscreen, flat drag-style handlebar, short tail section and the new paint schemes give the Street Rod a sinister look.
Other tweaks include lighter seven-spoke alloy wheels, a redesigned seat, forged levers and aluminium footpegs.
The High Output Revolution X engine is a tuned version of the Street 750's 749cc liquid-cooled V-twin powertrain.
It gets a larger air box, a new throttle body, revised cylinder heads with high-lift camshafts and a higher-volume muffler.
The compression ratio has been raised, resulting in 18 per cent more power at 70bhp and 8 per cent more torque at 64Nm.
The suspension setup has also been upgraded with 43mm telescopic front forks and gas-charged dampers at the rear.
Brake setup comprises of dual 300mm discs up front and a single 300mm at the rear. ABS is offered as a standard feature.
Apart from the matte grey colour, the Street Rod is also available in matte olive and black paint schemes.
