The 2017 Hero Duet has been spotted at a dealership. The unisex scooter is now available with new decals, a BS IV-compliant engine and auto headlamp on (AHO) feature.
While the Duet so far was available in mono paint schemes, Hero has now added red decals on the apron and the side panels to add flair to the design. The Duet also gets AHO feature to meet government regulations, which means it no longer gets a headlamp switch. Under the skin is a BS IV-compliant 111cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which delivers 8bhp and 8Nm of torque through a CVT transmission.
The conservative yet elegant styling coupled with customers’ preference for a metal body has resulted in a good response for the Duet. While the scooter started off on a muted response initially, sales have been burgeoning in the past few months, making it shoot past the Maestro Edge a couple of times. Hero hasn’t revealed the prices yet, although we can expect the 2017 model to be marginally pricier.
