Honda launched the 2017 model year CB Shine last week, and it is now the turn of its elder sibling, the CB Shine SP. The same upgrades have been applied to the 5-speed CB Shine SP as the 4-speed; a BS-lV compatible engine, always-on headlamp, and new graphics.
The CB Shine SP also garners new graphics but unlike the 4-speed Shine, the tank and tail panels are divided by a matt black section of plastic. The chrome muffler heat shield is also smaller on the 5-speeder. It is available in six colours, black, white, red, grey and a light and a dark blue. A couple of the new colours look especially fetching, like the dark blue and the white.
The 2017 CB Shine SP costs Rs 65,000-70,000 ex-showroom, Mumbai, which translates to Rs 73,000-78,000 on-road, Mumbai, depending on which variant you purchase. It competes with the likes of the Bajaj V12, Hero Glamour, and Suzuki SlingShot.
