The 2017 Honda Dio has been launched in India at Rs 49,132 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Apart from meeting BS IV norms, the new Dio has been given a nip-and-tuck job to improve its visual appeal.
The new Honda Dio now gets two white position lamps on the front apron and the auto headlamp on (AHO) feature to meet government regulations. The front of the handlebar integrates an LED strip while the rear section gets a redesigned tail lamp. Under the wider seat is now a mobile charging point. The Dio also gets four new dual-tone paint schemes with new decals.
Powering the Honda Dio is the same 109cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 8bhp and 9Nm of torque through a CVT transmission. The new Dio now rides on tubeless tyres. Honda’s proprietary Combi-Brake system is standard.
The new Honda Dio is available in five paint schemes - yellow/grey, orange/grey, red/grey, blue/white and matte grey. It competes with other scooters like the Yamaha Ray ZR, TVS Scooty Zest and the Suzuki Let’s.
