Indian has added a new model to its touring range – the Roadmaster Classic. Based on the standard Roadmaster, this motorcycle is offered with touring-focussed accessories and new paint schemes.
The Indian Roadmaster Classic is a faired cruiser. Unlike the standard bike, the Roadmaster Classic gets leather saddlebags and a leather top box. Both of these can be removed to give the bike a streamlined look. It gets creature comforts like keyless ignition, an audio system, LED lights, an electrically adjustable visor and floorboards. The heated leather seats get 10 individual settings. It also gets Indian’s proprietary ‘Ride Command’ infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen display. Integrated into the dashboard of the bike, the display allows the rider to access the ride data, audio system as well as the navigation system.
The Roadmaster Classic is powered the 1811cc ‘Thunder-Stroke’ V-twin engine which is rated at 139Nm of torque. It retails at USD 26,999 (Rs 18.07 lakh) and is offered in three paint schemes - black, green/ivory cream and red/ivory cream paint schemes. It competes with the Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special, Honda Gold Wing GL1800 and the Victory Cross Country Tour.
