Kawasaki India shocked the motorcycle fraternity with the launch of the 2017 version of the Ninja 1000. The price of this litre-class sports tourer was kept at Rs 9.98 lakh, almost Rs 2.8 lakh less than the outgoing model. This was possible as the new Ninja 1000 is a semi - knocked down (SKD) unit which attracts less duties as compared to the completely - built up(CBU) units. The seat is new, wider which will offer better comfort to the rider. Passenger seat is thickly padded that prevents rider to slide forward.

Powering this Kawasaki is a 1043cc inline four-cylinder motor that produces 140bhp at 10,000rpm and maximum torque of 111Nm at 7300pm.
