The 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 has been launched at Rs 3.64 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. There aren’t any mechanical updates to it other than a BS4-compliant engine.
The baby Ninja also gets different graphics for the new model year. It also sports a new-for-India grabrail for the pillion that is part of the mandatory saree guard – we’re sure owners will remove this the first opportunity they get. Everything remains the same – power and torque output, and its forgiving handling characteristics. Sadly, no ABS has been added, meaning that it still commands a premium over the Yamaha YZF-R3 while offering less power and torque, and less performance than the KTM RC390, which offers switchable ABS as standard at a much lower price.
Kawasaki launched a number of their 2017 models today, including the Ninja 650, Z650, Z900 and Versys 650.
