Kawasaki has unveiled the 2017 Versys 1000 and Versys 650 featuring a revised instrument cluster and new paint schemes.
Both the adventure touring motorcycles have been updated with a revised instrument cluster which now includes a gear position indicator. The Versys 1000 can now be had in either of green, orange or black paint schemes. The Versys 650 also gets two new paint schemes - metallic titanium and metallic grey/black.
There aren’t any changes under the skin. The Versys 1000 is powered by a 1043cc inline four engine delivering 118bhp and 101Nm of torque. The Versys 650 on the other hand gets a 649cc parallel twin engine, which delivers 68bhp and 64Nm of torque. Both motorcycles are offered with ABS as standard.
We can expect both the 2017 Versys 1000 and Versys 650 to be launched in India early next year in single paint schemes. While the Versys 1000 competes with the Suzuki V-Strom 1000, Ducati Multistrada 1200 and the Triumph Tiger 800 XRx, the Versys 650 rivals the Benelli TNT 600GT and the Ducati Scrambler.
