The 2017 Kawasaki Z250 has been launched in India at Rs 3.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The quarter-litre streetfighter is now BS IV-compliant and features a new paint scheme.
Cosmetically, the Kawasaki Z250 draws influence from its middleweight sibling, the Z800. With an upright riding position, the bike is good for city riding as well as for touring. The Z250 is powered by a 249cc fuel-injected parallel-twin engine which has been updated to meet BS IV emission norms. This liquid-cooled engine develops 32bhp and 21Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Z250 gets a revised paint scheme with racy decals. Sold in India as a completely knocked down (CKD) model, the Z250 competes with the Benelli TNT 300 and the KTM 390 Duke.
