Bajaj will launch the 2018 model of the Discover 125 on 10 January. According to our sources, the drum brake version of the bike will retail at an ex-showroom price of Rs 53,491 while the disc brake variant will carry a Rs 56,314 price tag (both prices ex-showroom,Mumbai). With this, it continues to be positioned under the V12 as an executive commuter bike.
Unlike the Dicover 110 which is a new product, the Discover 125 will be an updated version of the curent bike. It is expected to get new paint schemes and graphics along with a few visual changes. However, the bike will remain the same mechanically. The Discover 125 is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder, two-valve DTS-i engine that puts out 10.9bhp and 10.8Nm of torque via a five-speed gearbox. The bike returns a fuel efficiency of 82.4kmpl.
Once launched, the Discover 125 will compete against the Hero Glamour priced at Rs 58,992, the Yamaha Saluto at Rs 55,898 and the Honda CB Shine which retails at Rs 57,804 in the Indian market.
