Bajaj is going to launch a new variant of the Pulsar 150 priced at Rs 78,234 (ex-showroom). Featuring a few visual updates and new features, this model is Rs 3,584 more expensive than the standard variant.
The visual upgrades on the new Pulsar 150 include a new black/blue paint scheme with red decals. It also gets a new split seat setup and a redesigned grab rail to give it a sporty appeal. Also new is a rear disc brake, an option which was so far available only in Pulsar models above 180cc. We expect Bajaj to use the same rear disc setup as the Pulsar 180, which is a 230mm unit with a single-pot calliper.
We do not expect any upgrades for the powertrain. The Pulsar 150 will continue using a 149cc single-cylinder engine delivering 13.8bhp and 13.4Nm of torque, through a five-speed transmission. The Pulsar 150 competes against the TVS Apache RTR 160, Honda CB Unicorn 160 and the Hero Xtreme Sports. The motorcycle has already reached select dealerships and we expect deliveries to commence from the next week.
